Thanks for the thread! Since the Memory Maker price is the same for multiple families traveling together sharing one package as opposed to just two people going to Disney World is it worth the same price for just a couple to purchase it?
It depends on how much you use it. If you are doing a lot of the character dining restaurants, if you go on a lot of rides, and if you are into meeting characters, than yes. I know personally that if I was going with my family I personally would not get it. We are not character people so we never did the character dining restaurants and never waited in lines for characters. I'm scared of big rides like Tower of Terror or Rockin Roller Coaster and never bothered with the pictures anyway. Honestly before I got the job I was hardly aware of photopass photographers because my family just took our own photos.
So it really depends on your personalities and how you like spending your time. If you do get, I recommend at least stopping three times at an icon location. It's easy. First stop at the main icon when you walk in the park (the castle at MK, Spaceship Earth at Epcot, etc.). Then, make sure to stop by again as you are leaving the park in the afternoon or evening because the icon will look completely different with it's lights on. During the day, stop by a "secondary" icon location - every park has an icon that it identifiable even if it's not the main attraction. For example, you can usually find a photographer by:
Magic Kingdom - Main Street Train Station, Thunder Mountain, The Little Mermaid Ride, Beast's Castle
Epcot - France, Germany, Morocco, and roaming around world showcase (you can also get Spaceship Earth from the back with the lagoon in foreground)
Studios - Tower of Terror, the NY and San Fran backlots
Animal Kingdom - Everest
Assuming every photographer takes 2-5 photos in each interaction and assuming you visit all four park you can easily get 24-60 photos following this method.
Hope that helps!
