Have a Photopass Question? Ask me!

Hope you can help. We have purchased MM. Family from FL is visiting and while they are here we aren't gong to the parks.
Any idea outside of the parks where we could find PP photographers? We'd love a group shot that I can use to order my 2014 mug (souvenir that is a must do ;)!!)
I haven't had any luck adding the extra three nieces to our 1900PF reservation so...just wondering if we can't am I out of luck?
Thanks

If you go to the photopass station in Downtown Disney (in guest relations) they have a studio where they take portraits. You can try there.

Hi there thanks so much for being so generous with your time! Just wondering if we but the memory maker are the photos high resolution when you download them?

So, if I get the MM, who's magic band can be scanned? Anyone in my party (same reservation)? Mainly asking if my kids magic bands will work (or only adults). They sometimes go off to do the rides and it would be great if their bands worked so they can link the photos after the rides.

Not sure if this is ok, but last time I said my 14 year old son was 18+ years so he could have charging privileges on his band. It made it so much easier to say...can you go get this for us please?

Thanks!!!

If you're in charge of them (They are your managed guests) their photos will appear in your account. If they have their own account then they have to specifically allow you to view their photos.

Question! I have a 7-yr-old niece who is crazy about Frozen and I managed to get FP+s for Anna and Elsa. Can they sign her name (eg: to Nicole) to something like a card? Also, would they be willing to pose with a sign for her (something like "Hi Nicole!") so she can have the thrill of knowing the Princesses were thinking of her especially?

Thanks!

They usually don't sign specific names since every character should have the same handwriting. They practice to make sure the "Elsa" looks the exact same every day but they can't guarantee that Monday's Elsa and Tuesday's Elsa will make "Nicole" look the same, if you know what I mean.

They will definitely sign cards or take pictures with signs since I have done both personally. Just make sure that the sign doesn't have any non-Disney logos on it since photographers are forbidden from taking pictures of them and characters can't sign them (it all has to do with character look and copyright laws). Homemade signs and generic cards are fine though.

Another idea is to ask Anna and Elsa if they will say something to Nicole while you record it. It would be nice for her to see and hear Anna and Elsa actually talk to her. They will usually do a 10-20 second video and will address her personally. Just ask nicely!

Thank you so much! I really think this will make her year! :thumbsup2

Hi there. My daughter and I were there June 15-21 and I had purchased Memory Maker. Easy to use and have since downloaded the pix. Here's my question, we will be driving down on Wednesday 8/13 for another visit (DD starting DCP on 8/18) thru 8/20, how long is my Memory Maker good for? Can I use it for this trip too? Thanks!

30 days from when you first downloaded your photos. So it sounds like you've already downloaded them. If it was less than 30 days ago it would still be active but if you activated it before July 20th or so it would already have expired.

I know for PP+ (and I am assuming MM) that it was good for 14 days from first use, so your June MM can no longer be used. You would need to purchase it again or just use the basic PP. And congrats to your daughter! What role will she be in? I did the DCP 10 years ago and did Quick Service Food and Beverage.

It is not the same. MM entitles you to 30 days of downloads. In fact, the day you start downloading it lets you know that you have 30 days to capture more memories. We are using MM for two trips by waiting until right before we left for the second trip to start downloading photos from the first trip. It is possible but depends on when the MM entitlement was redeemed (when downloading began).

Since the MB update photos now last 45 days online. Once you download your first photo with MM you have 30 days to download more. So, if you play your cards right you can get 75 days out of MM but I wouldn't risk it.

I was not talking about downloads - I was talking about days of use of MM in the parks.

I'm confused then. Any photos taken remain in your account for 45 days from the date they are taken. MM is just the entitlement to download the photos, and gives you 30 days to do additional downloads or add additional pictures once the first picture is downloaded.

Technically, it should be 30 days to download everything but apparently you can still take photos in the parks. It's a weird loophole in the system. Honestly, I don't have much experience with the online and website components of PP since my everyday job was to take pictures and to sell them in the park.

Imagine you downloaded photos your first day in the parks. Would you then be sol out of the rest of your vacation? Therefor, the way memory maker works is you download photos. It flags all the photos active in your account as being purchased AND for the next 30 days any new photos taken will also be part of your download.

Hello fellow Illinois-ian! My daughter will be working in merchandise.... Which can be everything and anything shopping related. It was her third choice, but nonetheless, she's beyond excited! Not looking forward to the 17 hour drive down, but she wants her car with her. On the flip side, her tour of duty (unless she extends) is January 5, darn, we'll have to fly down to accompany her home!!!!

Not sure if this has been asked, but do all the Disney photographers do the magic shots? Or only certain ones? Should I ask for a magic shot or is it offered by the photographer. We have not been to Disney in over 10 years, so everything is new for us :)
