Have a Manly Man question, no women allowed on this thread !

How many people do you invite to BBQ's for them to be that big?? We once cooked for a good 25 people on two disposible ones!!

You must have some great house parties! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

First off if you are a woman and are reading this thread, do the right thing and post and admit you had to peak.

Here is my dilema. My BBQ pit is shot and I need to go get another. The truth be know I really dont need one of the monster BBQ pit or a big one like I have now and I am thinking I will get a small one as we rarely BBQ for a big crowd (normally just the wife and daughter) and when we do everyone kind of brings their own stuff.

So here is the question, is it okay to buy a smaller pit and still be a manly man, or do I need to buy the huge pit to stay in the Manly Man
club?

I.e. Does size matter when it comes to a BBQ pit?

Need direction from all manly men. !

If it helps, the BBQ will be stored by all my power tools and craftsman hand tools.

Drake,

Us guys (good grammar, eh) need to show intelligence and how to be practical. Buy the smaller one. :thumbsup2

In the words of dpuck, "man card, cough it up!"

You cannot be in the Man Club if you have a small BBQ grill. Sorry, I dont make the rules, I just enforce them.

In this equation please keep in mind that I have "on ready" at all times 3 crawfish pots with burner setups.

Still trying to decide.

I have a fear that Puck would come out of nowhere and keep calling me a wuss if I go small on the pit.

Maybe this?

I will second the Big Green Egg. I can't afford one so I don't have a BGE. :lmao: But the people who have them love them.

What I do have is a 7 in 1 grill I got from Cabella's. It BBQs, smokes, boils, fries, etc. It has a propane connection which I use to fry okra, turkey and oysters. Not in the same oil I might add. :rotfl2: Usually I burn wood to smoke/cook London Broil, Boston Butts, or steak, or pork loin. Yummy. :)

The 7n1 grill is not large but its large enough to get the job done. Its not the size of you spatula  but how you use it that counts! :lmao: :cool1:

Later,
Dan

Oh yeah, liek you didn't expect us to peek after that title :rotfl:

This must be an American thing, you aren't judged on your manliness by grill size in the UK, maybe cause its too busy raining to actually use the silly thing!!

If we get a few days of nice enough sunshine to actually sit outside without a jumper and coat, we just have salad!! :rotfl:

This post is useless without pics !!!!

BTW, why wouldnt you use the same oil. We reuse the oil from a Turkey fry a couple of times? Just wondering?

Yeah it is an American thing.

Same reason we watch John Wayne & Clint Eastwood westerns I guess. :)

I admit it I peaked but only because I love to BBQ!. DH and I take turns because he likes everything cooked well done and I prefer steak in particular still mooing. LOL

We have 2 grills a larger gas grill that we use when we have guests and a weber kettle that we use when it is just us.

Oh I think you can keep your Man card as long as you drink beer while you grill too.

Becky

I peaked also. I have two grills also. I have a BIG gas grill and a small Charcoal grill.:goodvibes

Us---->women<---- always peak DUH!! :lmao:

Ohmygosh a BBQ pit size or hand over the man card :rotfl: I think your man card should be just fine no matter the size of the pit! :lmao: There are other things that would warrent the loss of your man card... but that is another thread all together.

:teeth: I peeked.

NC B. has 2 bbq grills at the moment. The Weber kettle is on its last legs so we got a bbq/smoker last fall.

 No comments on the man card issues. NC B. is allowed to choose his beer amounts and grill size.
