Have 1 day - flying into BUR - time to go??

I'm flying into BUR on Jan. 3rd (will get there late morning) and I need to be back at the airport around noon the next day. Do you think if I rent a car I can make it to DL, spend the night there and it be worthwhile? I'm really wanting to know about the traffic and how long it will realistically take me to get there...

No matter what estimates you get, remember that the Rose Bowl Game is the 4th and traffic will be crazy! This would be a bad time to attempt a one day visit.
