Haunted mansion VQ

Hi All- A few questions about the VQ for HM as this will be our first time at DLR and HM is a must for us. On our arrival day (this Saturday- which will be a very crowded day), our flight gets in to SNA at 11:20, so i will not be in the park by 12 to do the 12:00 VQ. ALso, I will likely be in the air for the 7:00 VQ, though I might be able to join on wifi.
My questions are: If I am able to get in the 7:00 VQ, am I able to select/modify to a later time? Do the 7:00 VQ times only go to noon or do they go through the entire day and then the 12:00 times are whatever is left over?
I am hoping we will be in the park by 2, but I assume by then, the 12:00 time slots will all be taken, is this usually the case?

You can not modify your boarding group. Boarding groups last a few hours at each drop but the noon seems to get booked faster.

In my experience, 100 gets called back sometime in the noon - 2 pm range. I usually get in the 100 range if I join the VQ closer to 8 am. There is another thread where this was discussed. I'll try to find the link.

I have no experience with this, but seem to recall from other threads that arriving late for one of these boarding times will sometimes be honored. So if you can book at 7 am, it might be worth a try - then you at least have the chance that they’ll let you use the VQ boarding time. If someone has actual experience with this, please correct me if I got this wrong!
