Haunted mansion magic band

So on our recent trip I saw someone before me scan his band at a ride and instead of a normal green circle, it was green and pink. When I asked him he said he had a haunted mansion band that was limited edition. Does anyone know if these are still for sale and if they are, where I could get one?

The shop parks app has all kinds of MB. The limited edition ones light up different colors.

They are supposed to. Colors may be different but some light up, some have sound effects.

Not on the app, but there are different sites and fb pages dedicated to collecting them. They usually have more info than shop parks.

This is that bad. It came out last year and is a limited band so it might be sold out by now and eBay or Amazon might be the only option

My advice is to check out the link I posted above prior to buying a band. He has info on every band.

Not every limited edition band does a different color so you'll want to check before you shell out the $35 or however much the band is.

I stumbled onto his website a couple weeks back (through a link over here, of course). I will definitely be cross referencing my MB info. I love the Coco one! I saw the video for that too.

Thank you for posting that! The black panther has a cool color effect! We might be going in October so I’ll have to keep checking his site to see if I can get one before then.

I have the HM band. It is a 45th anniversary Magic Kingdom band. It is purple and does different affects on the scanners. With that said it is not sold by Disney anymore as it likely sold out. eBay might have it though.

I am a magicband collector so I have roughly 20ish.

Note that just because a band is limited edition doesnt mean it will change the scanner color every time or in every park.

Some bands only work in specific parks (Those themed to that park like the HM band). Some only at the entry points (generic LE bands like the new Black Panther one). Some just decide what days to change colors. This morning my Halloween 2017 band flashed orange at the MK entrance. Thursday it just went green. My Pandora band only changes colors at DAK, but only went green on Saturday. A Star Wars band from 2 years ago has always had the special effect in Studios. New bands (if you were to purchase one while you are in the park) often don't have the effects turned on for several days after release.

LE bands are fun - I think 15 of mine are LE - but don't count on them working every time

I didn't realize the special effects bands have been around so long. I've clearly been missing out on that.

How would new bands get linked to your tickets?

You link the new band’s ID # to the correct MDX Profiles.

The MBs provide the link to all data that’s in your MDX account...including tickets.
