Haunted Mansion - FastPass?

It seems like I heard in the past that they were going to be moving the FP machines from HM over to the Indy Speedway. Anyone know if that's happened?

It seems that I remember hearing awhile back that they weren't using fast pass at the HM anymore. Can anyone who's been there recently confirm that.

They weren't operating in Feb. The machines were still there, but they were covered up.

We were there easter week and they didn't have fastpasses for HM. Not a problem. We were there right after park opening and walked on.

I really never understood why they made HM a fast pass ride in the first place You don't really stand in a traditional line like you would at other attractions as they ask everyone to step up and fill in all available space. They also take large groups of people at one time so I never used fast pass and always had fairly short waits. I think it will actually work out better without fast pass as you will be able to use both sides of the line again which will cause the stand-by line not to back up.
