Going tomorrow and can’t wait to see HMH! We are not planning on going to the park at rope drop so what would be the best time to try and get a late morning VQ?

We'll need more data points to say that with any realm of certainty. It's hard to tell if it'll be consistent from one day to the next. The best plan of attack would probably be to keep the app handy and keep checking it every few minutes after 7am to wait for the predicted wait time to match what you're hoping for. This morning, at 7:02am, the estimated return time was 190 minutes (around 10:10am) - you might not have to wait all that long. But it was also the first day - it might be different tomorrow.

If I had to spitball, I'd say you'd probably be fine between 7:30am and 8am. But it'd probably be worth monitoring it in real time, if you can.

Thanks! I did a quick check this morning around 7:15am and saw 190 mins return time as well. Guess I’ll keep checking as you suggested!!

Data point, Tuesday: morning VQ lasted until about 9:20am. Approximate call-back somewhere between 1pm and 1:30pm.

Its funny how this is both a gift and curse

Its a blessing because your going to wait less time for HMH but also can only go on it once a day




I also think this is going to be all season and maybe the Q wont be done until the OG HM returns next year

*This VQ is available on the DL app

*Need a DL park reservation for the 7 am VQ attempt

*Can try for it when “offsite”

*if tix/park res is for CA, we can try for VQ @ noon? Do we need to physically have hopped to DL 1st (earliest 11 am?).

Yes to all except for the 12 PM queue you just have to enter to one of the parks. You don’t need to enter Disneyland if you have a park hopper.

Just checked the app and there are still VQ spots for this evening. So at 4pm you can get a group that is projected to be boarding around 9pm. That's good news because when we did the Rise VQ a few years ago it would run out in minutes and out of 4 or 5 tries at the VQ we only got in once.

I think the good thing about Haunted Mansion is that the ride system is pretty robust and reliable. It is also quick loading so they can churn a lot of people through in an hour. All that helps in that they can offer a large volume of VQ spots all the way throughout the day.

Wondering tho, could it be as it's 'new' and locals haven't gotten around to getting park res in place yet?

Data point - as of 8:30pm, the noon drop is still open, and the callback time is only 100 minutes. It's not out of the question that they might run out of riders tonight. (This was the scenario I was most looking forward to seeing - and seeing how they handle it.)

EDIT: At 10:40pm, VQ still open, down to 5 minutes.

Does anyone know if a 12pm VQ request can be made from inside the GCH? We'll be rope dropping at DCA one day and then heading back to our hotel for lunch and naps by 11. Curious if I need to send my husband back into the park at noon to try to register.

It can be made from anywhere, you just need to have entered the park your reservation is for.
