Does anyone know what dates the haunted mansion and it's a small world usually go down for their holiday overlays????? Are there generally a lot of ride rehabs around the beginning to middle of september?

HM is looking to go down around Sept 10th, IASW I think usually goes down later more towards November. I don't think there should be a lot of other refurbs happening this year in Sept. But I am not 100% sure on that.

September refurbs include Canal Boats and Casey Jr. from Aug. 31-Nov. 20. HM is looking like Sept. 10 (:sad1: we'll be there Sept. 11). IASW usually early Nov.

New List of Sept. refurbs!

Mark Twain Riverboat – closed September 8 – 10 for refurbishment.
Space Mountain – closed September 8 – 24 for refurbishment.
Minnie's House – closed September 9 for refurbishment.
Haunted Mansion closed – September 10 – 24 for refurbishment.
Gadget's Go Coaster – September 19 – October 26 for refurbishment.
Pirates of the Caribbean – September 28 – October 2 for refurbishment.

I am so bummed about Space Mountain!!!!

Just a note on it's a Small World -- that attraction will go down sometime in October and will reopen in November - my guess is at least by November 7th with the holiday theme.

In the last few years, IASW usually has gone down on the second-to-last Monday in October, and it has usually taken 18 days in install the IASWH overlay.

If this year is similar to previous years, then IASW would go down on Monday, Oct. 19, and open as IASWH on Friday, Nov. 6.

Thanks! I was wondering what the usual schedule was. We will be arriving on Sunday, the 18th and I was hoping that we'd be able to see it before it went down for the overlay install. :)

I saw that too.

It's on mouseplanet, and they generally do have good info that they get from their Disneyland sources.

I am never sure of when it's okay to post links to other sites and when its a "no-no". LOL Some boards are stricter about it than others.

Oh I know. This site is VERY cool about allowing us to mention most others. They know they are the best and most encompassing...they have locals posting, tourists planning, etc etc, they don't need to falsely keep us from looking at other planning boards! Yay Dis!

The date for the Haunted Mansion being closed for the nbc overlay, is correct. Being September 10 th. It is always possible however, that there might be a change in the dates. My source being Disney Guest Services, which I called several days ago.

I am so depressed! I really hope the dates for the Space Mountain closure are off. I am going down the 13th-19th and Space Mountain is my favorite ride! I wish I could go on Haunted Mansion too :-(. Its been down on my last too trips.

I am sorry to hear that. :flower3: I hope that you will be able to ride S M.
For the HM to have been closed during your last two trips, now that is especially rough. H M is one of my most favorite ride attractions.
