Just got home last night from an awesome 6 day visit which included the HM Event on 09-09-09. Here are a few photos. The event was very dark which was no match for my little old camera. There are a lot of photos being posted out there that are much better than mine but here's a few...

My friends and I dressed up the the event. This photo was taken at the Photo Op before the event. I'm 2nd from the right next to the doombuggy.

The dead groom was carried to the front of the room by the groomsmen. He had already met his demise.

Everyone enjoyed a slice of wedding cake and punch after dinner over at the mansion.

How fun!! Thanks for posting the pictures -- they are great! :goodvibes

one last photo. After the wedding feast over at DCA we proceeded over to the Mansion where the bride and groom appeared on the 2nd story balcony. They cut the wedding cake with an axe and then stayed on the balcony to great the wedding guests as we entered the mansion to ride the ride. Fog covered The Rivers of America and the HM which gave it a very eerie appearance and creepy organ music played familiar Disney tunes. \\

Thanks for posting the pics, we were in the lowly hitchhikers group and only got to go to the cake cutting so its really neat to see what we missed.... I know cry me a river right? We had a blast! The cake was super yummy, right until I dropped it on the cement haha.

The cake WAS really yummy! I hope you grabbed another piece after you dropped yours. It looked like they had tons left over! Did you see Nicholas Cage there? I heard everyone talking about him but I didn't get to see him.

When I dropped my cake I went to the table to grab some napkins for clean-up and the castmembers almost tackled me for touching their table, seriously like 3 of them tried to intercept me haha So I was afraid to ask for another piece.
I didn't know the Nicholas Cage was there, I knew he was at the expo today but I hadn't heard that he was at the 40th event too, I guess we missed him. We were at the expo yesterday and got to see the Princess and the Frog 30 minute preview and the legends awards with the voice actors of Donald Duck and Goofy as well as Betty White and Robin Williams though which was awesome!!!

Great pics!!! It looked like quite an event, how fun! What flavor was the cake? It looked really pretty. :thumbsup2

The cake tasted like a white cake and they colored it gray or maybe it was purple. It was really dark and I couldn't tell for sure. It was very tasty though.

Great pics, it looks like it was a lot of fun. I wish I could have gone to that event, HM is one of my all time favs.
