My husband and I are taking our grandkids, ages 4 and 9 to Fort Wilderness for the first time at the end of the month. Has anyone tried the haunted hayride at the Fort? Will it be OK for their ages? We are also getting a golf cart--any idea if you can get them before 1pm? Thanks!

Its not very scary for those at the age. If it not too b usy you can get a cart if you have a ressy.

:hippie: the hayride is gone..............:confused3

We took our (at the time) 9yr old daughter on the hayride in 2005 and she didn't think it was scary but our 6yr old decided not to ride. Since then they got rid of the headless horseman. Now they have changed it to a hauted carriage ride and the headless horseman is back. You can have 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids to a carriage. You should get reservations ahead of time.

We are going on Oct 3rd at 8:30pm. Our 12, 9 and 5yr olds will be with us...

The haunted hayride is now a haunted carriage ride for 4 people for which you need ressies.

The regular hayride is still taking place and is walk-ups.
