Anyone know where I can get more information on the haunted hay ride at Ft. Wilderness. We actually did this last year, but I am not sure if it is only on certain nights, etc., and need to get further details.

Wow! I never heard of this, but I'd really like to do it... anyone out there heard of it?

I'm going to bump this up to the top again...'cause if someone has any info, I'd love to know more about it too!:flower:

I called this number yesterday (I think I got it off the allearsnet website) and got a lot of info about the hayride. I've never done it before, but I've heard it's great!

The CM told me it's basically a hayride around the Ft. Wilderness trails with a spooky telling of the Ichabob Crane tale. She also said they make a stop so that passengers can watch the MK fireworks. She said it's not every night, but select nights through October, so you may want to call. She said that you can not make reservations in advance, but must go to the kennel at Ft. Wilderness in the morning of the day you want to go (beginning at 9 am) to buy your tickets. I assume they sell out quick. On the day I asked about, she said the hayride would be at 9:30 pm.

I'm really looking forward to it!

Thanks for the information!! This sounds like such fun...this whole trip is going to be magical!!!

Trying to call but the number's busy. Anybody know what the cost is?

It is a lot of fun. You have a storyteller ride with you who is dressed in colonial garb, you talk to Ichabod and other very interesting characters. I was glad we did it. Still trying to find out if it will be happening any of the nights we are there next week.

I have the dates they will be doing the hay ride. They are all in October.
The 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and the 31st.
I was told they have a limit of selling 100 tickets/night.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I can't wait to tell DH and the kids! We are going down for a "quickie" trip (a "long weekend" which I managed to turn into 6 days :teeth: ) and I just know they'd LOVE to do the hayride! :hyper:
