It's that time again (actually , I'm late), to haul the very large houseplants back in the house.
Normally they summer on the screened in porch but due to construction they summered in the garden.
For some reason i have this fear that a snake or two, or frogs, spiders and other nasty stuff has taken up residence in the ptted plants and I have visions of the nasty stuff crawling out into the house.

Is my only recourse to repot all these giants or is there another way?

Oh and by the way....ICK!

Just thinking about frogs maybe living in your plants make me  .
I'm glad I don't have to bring in any plants for the winter because of my fear of toads and frogs.

Snake, spider, and frog patrol? Sounds like a job for your kids, Vanessa! ;)

Where are you going to put the plants? Did you rebuild a new screened porch? I'm confused.....:p

Kim, the plants have wintered up in my bedroom in the past, this year I'm going to spread them out abit, maybe one or two in the new room.

My parents had a small toad come in one year in their plant and it happily lived in that plant all winter...i don;t know..ick.

Earthworms, I've had, but hopefully this is found out before I put the plants in the basement, because everything that I bring in goes into dormancy.

Good luck!

Bobbi:D

Amid - I hope you find no little critters in your plants!

Oh no frogs and toads! I just brought some in and so far just spiders. That's bad enough. I don't repot them all, maybe I should. Never thought about big bugs coming in, ick.

It's a lot of work getting everything picked and potted and brought in.
