OK! I am offended. What is this hate speech for people who can't read?!

I just turned 33 and went to eye doctors and I need bi-focals! I am so upset! I feel OLD OLD and the show just rubbed salt in my wound

Pfft! Thats it...I am calling in :furious:

(I am just joking! I love you guys!) :thumbsup2

Pete was on a roll with the granny glasses comments this week. :)

My wife is legally blind - glasses do help her somewhat, so she's been wearing bifocals since she was a kid. I would tease her, but I am utterly dependent on my single vision glasses so we've declared a mutal non-aggression pact.

The last time we were in Lens Crafters, the salesperson kept trying to convince her to get prescription sunglasses instead of the transitions lens (that go dark in sunlight) since the sunglasses would be "so much better for driving." My wife patiently explained that as she was blind, she didn't do much driving. The salesperson persisted, and my meek wife finally hollered after several more minutes of a hard sell, "are you deaf? I'm blind, I don't drive!" :lmao:

Dont worry. I had bifocals in middle school. Youll know if you get really bad. My grandma has trifocals.

:rolleyes1 I have been wearing bi-focals/progressives since I was four except for brief moment at around age 9 (no I'm not let anyone do the math).

I used to make glasses for a short time.

Bifocals peeps are KEWL peeps! (or should I say "coo peeps?)

:rotfl: :rotfl: that is so funny!!!

I just love the way they have "renamed" them progressive lenses. Like that's supposed to make you feel better. I've been wearing my progressive lenses for about five years now. Uggh!

Oh yea!! We coo Peeps!!!!!!!:3dglasses

OOOH! Finally a clique I can join! Count me in. Been wearing bifocals since I was 38. (Thank goodness for the no-line (progressive:rolleyes1) option!) Both my parents wear trifocals, so I know what I'm in for in the future.

Thank you BENJAMIN FRANKLIN for allowing me to see to drive AND see to read.:lmao:

I have to tell ya...my last visit to the eye doctor included a recommendation for bifocals and I just couldn't do it. Even though I had lasik done about 12 years ago I got to the point where I need to use glasses for distance and now walk around stores doing the bit where I have to either look over my glasses to read the pricetag or push them on top of my head. Yes, I am about to surrender!!!

No, see, you have to call them progressive lenses... that makes it all seem so much better. We all like to be progressive right... ;)
