Hat at Hollywood Studios coming down? Whats new?

I know they are removing the hat does anyone know what is going to be there after it is removed? Just curious if there will be something new and fun to see by our next trip hopefully in Sept 2016.

The hat has been gone for months. You are left with a straight shot down the street to the Great Movie Ride.

I would assume so since really all the hat was doing was blocking the view of the Great Movie Ride.

I would expect that next September DHS will be nothing but a sea of construction.

I know they wanted an icon fixture at DHS vs the water tower prior to that, but that hat was an eye sore and did nothing and wasn't functional like the other park icons.

No idea what will be next....

I didn't mind the hat I have a really cute picture of my kids walking towards it and I love it. But it also doesn't matter to me that it's gone. I guess if its awful next September we'll just do a half day there and just get in and out after doing what we want to do. We did have a great time at HS last time as my kids are little and we met a lot of characters and did Hollywood and Vine for lunch but I doubt we would again. Can't decide if my kids would like ToT by then they will 4 and 7. Must do's though would TSM, meet a few characters, Probably one show, Great Movie ride, Maybe ToT and maybe Rocking Roller coaster is DD is tall enough by then. So I def think we could get done in half a day. We purposely stayed all day before to see dancing lights at night time.
