Has your Arby's changed?

I took the boys & met DH for lunch at Arby's today. Apparently, Arby's is trying to go upscale or something? Lunch for DH, DS3 & me was $24!!

They've changed to "Angus Beef" which means their Roast Beef Sandwiches are now $3.69 - for just the sandwich! And, they cook the beef medium only and it's thicker sliced - ick!

Plus, they took away my beloved rotisserie chicken - it's only offered at dinner now.


What a disappointing lunch. I want the old Arby's back!

And, while they're at it, I want the Arby-Q back, too!

I rarely eat at Arby's, but I did go with a friend about a month ago. Their Market Fresh sandwich was excellent, but VERY expensive. The sandwich and a drink was just under $7.00. I think that's a lot for fast food.

That price for the roast beef sandwich sounds like the price I usually pay if I only want the sandwich without the meal.
I do enjoy the thinly sliced meat.

I only make it to Arby's 1-2 times per year, but I thought they were always kind of expensive for fast food.

I like those too, very good and fresh.

In our area, they are currently running a special, 2 subs for $4. They are really large.

They just remodeled ours - they want to go for the "upscale" look - more intimate seating, smoked glass, crystal lighting. Sort've seems out of place for a fast food restaurant. The market fresh wraps are pretty good though.

I like the Market Fresh sandwiches, too. Much better than what is available at some delis. But the prices in our area have also jumped considerably.

They have some very good salads now, too.

I ate lunch the other day at Arbys ( I love the market fresh sandwiches) I had the market fresh combo meal and it came to $6.42. Its pricey for lunch and I am not sure I will eat there anymore if they go up in price. When we go out as a family there we usually just get whatever the special is at the time. Right now its 5 orginals for $5.95 which is a good deal.

Arby's has always been on the pricey side if you don't have coupons, but I agree it's gone up lately. They also got rid of the pasta at ourswhich is what the kids always ate.

Not to mention that's the store with the really foul mouthed manager I've mentioned in the past. Since the pasta's gone, I've got no reason to tolerate the manager, so we don't go.
