I've heard all the rumors, but is it official, has the YOAMD been extended through 2008? I hope so, gives me more chances to win something great (already won DFP's).

Yippee! I'm gonna head to the post office today to buy some post cards. We just got back from a trip and didn't win anything, so maybe I'll have better luck by mail!
Nice! I'll be there for my 21st birthday! I was so bummed at not winning Ears! Now I'll have another chance! Here's hoping for some to spend the Night in Cindy's Castle on the 26th of January! Haha.
Wonderful!!! We'll be going in May 2008, and will be there for our 17th anniversary. I'm so glad they're carrying this over. I love this promotion, and I've never even been to Disney!!
This is hard to believe, especially when specific rules have been posted, hence Dec. 31, 2007 is the last official day, and postcards have to be post marked no later than Dec. 31, 2007.
Do people really spend all that money on postcards and stamps in the hopes of winning mouse ears? At what point doesn't it make financial sense? And what do you do with it after the dog chews it? Send the money to Make A Wish instead and maybe give someone a chance to see WD in person that could use a smile. That's the real deal.

It's true, though. So many people say how they send multiple postcards a day at a cost of over 40 cents per card (plus the card itself) all to get a hat or lanyard that costs Disney all of like 12 cents to produce. It costs Disney more to mail it than the prize is worth.

It's true - it was officially printed in the Mickey Monitor. And the new year is supposedly going to come with a whole new Disney Dreams Giveaway, so I'm sure the postcard entries will make their return.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Open only to legal residents of 50 U.S., D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico & UK. Void elsewhere and where prohibited. Giveaway runs October 1, 2006 - December 31, 2007 (mail in entries postmarked starting September 18, 2006 & received by January 14, 2008 on 3.5 x 5 postcard with complete name, address, daytime phone#, birth date and proper postage sent to PO Box 8629, Elmhurst, IL 60126 USA). UK residents only mail to 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS.
I'm kinda new to the whole YOAMD prize thing, so pardon me if this is a dumb question, but...are there ways to enter besides sending a postcard? I know you can be randomly selected at the parks for a prize, but is there a way to enter online? I'd love to have either the lanyard or ears, but can't justify mailing in postcards every day. Like a PP said by the time I pay for all that postage in 'hopes' of winning I could have bought what I want on eBay!
