Has WDW been de-Stitched?

On my last trip (eek, it's been over a year!), Stitch was on the bus and monorail windows, breaking into the wake-up calls, and I read here that there was a spot near the castle where you could hear him giggling while hiding.

Have his 15 Disney minutes passed? Most importantly, is the wake-up call back to just Mickey?

Let us hope so. Sorry, but I hardly find anything enduring about a character who's single redeeming value to society is "chili burps".

No offense to Stitch fans, to each their own, but yech... ;)

Judging by the queues of people to meet him i would say he is a popular boy

He is still on the monorail windows, above World of Disney, and in the monorail spiel. I don't know about the wake up call though.

Is there any place online to hear his monorail spiel? My DDs love Stitch, and we laughed so hard when we rode the monorail to "Stitch Kingdom" on one of our trips.

I thought I had just heard on a podcast that Stitch was removed from the monorail speil and Pirate stuff had been added. I will try to remember which one it was and look it up to verify.

I think Stitch is so cute. I loved the monorail thing.
We watched Lilo and Stitch again on The Disney Channel yesterday. He's just too cute.

Now princesses and all that girly girl stuff? Blech.

ETA: I think Stitch is Disney, but never considered Pooh and friends to be Disney yet they are everywhere.

bsmcneil, thank you sooooooooooooo much for the link! I can't wait to play it for my Stitch-girls!

I think that after four succesful movies and a Disney Channel series, they could do something nicer than Stitch's Great Escape. He shouldn't be on the monorail, as the speaking is so long that it almost always gets cut off. They should stick to 'por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas." I don't mind a lot of Stitch stuff, but it should be nicer.

I don't remember him doing the monorail speil in May but he did do the wake-up call A LOT! Getting Mickey was almost a rare thing. No offnese to all Stitch fans (I like him too) but I was really missing hearing Mickey and Goofy. Oh and in the bathrooms where you can go over to Frontierland from Adventureland or vice versa you can hear Stitch banging on the bathroom doors asking if anyone's seen Lilo! It's really cute I was suprised when I first heard it :rotfl: If anyone has audio of the new Pirates of the Caribbean monorail speil that would be awesome because when I go they won't have it anymore unless it's for the third one!

"OW!" I bumped my head. I thought my daughter was going to bust a gut hearing that. That was funny! Thanks for posting that link.

Hmm, quite the contingent of Stitch lovers! Okay, let me make myself clear -- I like Stitch just fine, and don't have anything against him, it's just that WDW has been a bit Stitch-intensive for a while. I especially love getting wake-up calls from Mickey, and was surprised that they kept Stitch on for such a time

So, no offense at all to Stitch fans, but I want my Mickey wake-up calls back!
