Has ToT changed or did I dream it?

I swear that I read somewhere that ToT was going to change and include bigger drops and no lap bar just seat belts so you come off of the seat more but now I can't find anything about it did I dream this or is it scarier this year, we were there last summer and hadn't changed, does anybody know???

What was the rationale for changing the lap bars to all seatbelts? Do they keep you in better - safety concerns? I always felt pretty secure with the lap bar - but I'm more than willing to do the seatbelt - anything to ride it!

In Feb the drops had changed but the lap bars remained. Have the lap bars been removed since Feb of this year?

I rode it on Monday. The park wasn't crowded at all! It turned out it was just me and a woman and her son in the car. I was on the left first row, they were on the right! It was just the way it turned out as we came out of the pre-show room. I was surprised they had all 4 elevators running. Anyway, our car had lap bars, at least in the front row. We did have lots of drops.

We were there yesterday and the car we rode in had NO lap bar. I was not happy. I felt unsafe the whole time. I kept thinking "if this belt comes off, I'm flying out of here". I prefer the bar, then I have something to hold on to.
