I was in my travel agents yesterday booking my dining reservations. I wanted to book Cafe Mickeys (for dinner) and California grill. My travel agent called Disney but the line was bad so she told me she would call them again and then give me a call to tell me the final details of the reservations. I had a call about half an hour later telling me that she had Disney on the phone and that they said in order to book Cafe Mickeys we had to pay upfront and they needed the payment right then. My boyfriend and I had to pay £59 (think it was this amount, cant remember exactly) between us. I was a bit skeptical but the travel agent read the menu to us, she said it was a set menu and also included one drink each, anyway after a bit of discussion we decided to go ahead with the payment. Im guessing when we have our meal there that we now do not need to pay. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and also how do we prove that we have pre payed. Will we get a ticket or something like that when we check in?
Sorry for the long post, Ive just never experienced this before and thought it to be a bit odd that it was only Cafe Mickeys that we had to pay upfront for and not California grill.
If it makes any difference we booked through Thomas Cook.
