Has the ME hurt the shuttle/car rentals?

Just wondering if the ME has hurt the car rental companies and the shuttle companies.

I don't have any numbers, but you can bet the rent that it sure has!!! And don't forget the towncar companies and the skycaps too......

According to Daxx, there aren't any great deals on rental cars during our vaca. dates in July. We thought we'd get some really good rates b/c of ME. On longer vacations (over 5 days), we like to rent a car and go off property but it looks like we'll be doing ME even though this is a 10 day vaca.!

I paid $97 for a full size at National last month, 6 days. I assumed the price dropped because less cars were being rented. That was with the priceless code & $20 entertainment coupon.
