Has the free Dining started? How are the crowds?

Just a quick note to see if the free dining has started, and if it has significantly affected the crowds. I have always heard that Sep was one of the slowest times and we will be there Sep 17th-25th. Staying in DIL's timeshare or we would be enjoying the free dining also. I hope the crowds are still light, despite Disney's rather crafty slow-season booster. Hoping for any feedback from those just back or in the know. Thanks!

Crowds are up from years past, the UG changed rating from 4/5 from 2's for sept and October. Still not bad but plan on it being a little busier.

that's been my concern too. We've been planning a trip since February specifically because this is suppossed to be the slowest time to go and I'm not complaining because it's saving us a few hundred dollars with the free dining, but I do wonder just how much busier it will be? Oh well, we're determined to relax no matter what!

True, but they use a different scale now too, so it's not as bad as it appears.
