Has the DVC office in Garden City opened yet?

It is supposed to open in Roosevelt Field. I would love to get in as an agent {I am already a licensed real estate agent}. I submitted a resume online, but want to go in person and see if that works better. I don't want o take the trip all the way out there if it's not open yet...

Well I live pretty close to Roosevelt Field and am considering purchasing DVC so I will definitely be watching out for it....if I find out anything before you do I will be sure to post.

I have heard AUGUST 1st, but I have found nothing to confirm that. The parent company that owns Roosevelt Field is Simon inc. Their website is SIMON.COM I did see a posting for an agent at this new location. Go the the casting website for Disney. In the location search click on Garden City. You should see the listing. Good luck. Please post any info that you find.

I called Roosevelt Field Mall just this afternoon to ask; there is still not

a directory listing for Doorway to Dreams on their automated phone

connection system so I tried the Disney Store and CM said

they do not expect Doorway to Dreams to open until late August/early Sept.

I said that I had heard of possibly August 1st/early August opening and

CM said " definitely not ". So I guess more waiting

I'm guessing for members within reasonable driving distance that DVC will be sending out email invite; I had gotten email about applying for position there ( I live about 40 minutes away ). idk, maybe speak to your guide ?

Well I can tell you that it's on the second floor near bloomingdales I think. I was just at RF mall a week and a half ago and it didn't look anywhere close to being open yet.

At our Doorway to Dreams meet today, the DVC Guide Derek told us the Long Island store is also going to be next door to a Nordstrum like they are...

I live in CT and received an invitation by mail to attend. I had just attended a seminar in Boston, so I didn't give it much thought and threw the invitation out. Therefore, I couldn't tell you a date.

My guide told me there were some delays and it's taking longer than they expected, that they plan to open in early September but don't have an exact date yet.

We live a half hour away from RF. That is our choice of mall for shopping. I can confirm that it is located on the upper level right next to Nordstrom. BTW, how can we get an invite....that would be awesome!

Contact your guide for Garden City Hotel event but most if not all by this point of the time slots are filled. There were non-member and member specific times.

The Doorway to Dreams location at RF Mall last I heard is delayed due to permit issues with Nassau county that they hope will be resolved by first week-mid Sept.

I'm so upset. I received the email to attend this event, but unfortunately we won't be able to go. I'm pregnant and this event will be no less then 2+ hours away from my hospital if anything happens. I should probably rephrase that I'm due around the time the event is scheduled so I'd rather not pop while there lol. I've been reading about the event that was in Boston and I was jealous that it was so far away. Now this one is within driving distance and well... it's just bad timing I guess. I am happy though that at least there will be a Doorway to Dreams closer to me!! My husband and I have been wanting to buy into DVC since 2006, but we've had a lot of other things to purchase and take care of before we bought. I'm hoping soon though. I made a joke the other day that if he wanted to get me the greatest 30th bday present(next week) he could buy into DVC and I wouldn't ask for anything else for my birthday EVER . Here's to hoping to Join the DVC family soon!!!
