We have heard many rumors that the food is not as good as it once was and they have cut back on what you get. Is this true? Would love to hear from people who have been recently.

We were there less than a year ago and had a good meal. Was it the best meal of our trip no, but we did enjoy it.

Seems the same to me, they have changed the broccoli and the salad but over our last 8 trips it has been the same for us.

I was last there in March and it seemed pretty much the same from the previous October. I believe the salad had a new dressing, but the rest of the items seemed the same. It's still all you care to eat, so I don't think they've reduced the amount you get...you can always ask for more if you want something. I really enjoyed 'Ohana (everything except the dessert, but that's because Id on't like bread pudding to start with).

We were at Ohana's for dinner on 10/11/13. Dinner was delicious. Served a rice dish, sauteed vegetables, grilled chicken, pork, steak and shrimp. My 9 y/o said that this is now is "favorite" Disney restaurant. I would change the dessert though. That was just "okay".

i think it is still at the same very low quality level it has been for years. so, i'd say it is not going down hill, but it is pretty far down the hill already.

Pretty much the same thing although I think they tweek the recipes every so often.

We don't think so! Went for the first time 9/12, and then went again 10/13 and I thought it was EVEN BETTER! Then meats were SO moist and SO flavorful! My favorite meal both trips! :lovestruc

I don't think they've cut back on anything. You can still get all you can eat of the different foods. Some things have changed a bit but I wouldn't call that a cutback.

However, I'll agree with freshmanjs that this place is pretty low in the hill anyway.

Change the dessert? Blasphemous!!! :lmao:

Seriously, though, has some sort of rice dish replaced the noodles?

We were there 5 weeks ago, and it was just as good as we remembered it from our visit in 2010. We LOVE dinner at Ohana! I didn't know the salad dressing was new. It was very sweet and I really liked it! The chicken was my favorite. Cooked to perfection and seasoned very nicely. Shrimp was excellent too! The food was plentiful.

We have trips planned in April and May of next year, and already have reservations booked. Wouldn't skip it!

Many of the Disney restaurants are mediocre. However, Ohana is not. My family loves it!

When it comes to family-style there is often a lot of waste. I have noticed that the initial portions are a bit smaller than they used to be...perhaps to combat the waste issue. You can ask for seconds, thirds, etc. of anything so don't hesitate.

We have always had great meals at 'Ohana. We will be dining there again in December and I am looking forward to it. :)

We were there on 10/10 and loved it. This was our first visit to O'hana (we a newbies) and I thought it was great. I was a little nervous because of the reviews but I can't find anything negative to say. My husband declared that he will not go to Disney again if we don't eat there. I should include that we are picky meat people and found them to be very good.

We were there last week and it was as great as it has always been for us. I love the food there. The noodles taste like candy and the peanut butter sauce is soo good! The dessert is by far the best in WDW in my opinion and I've had way too many. LOL

I really enjoyed Ohana! The salad & noodles were delicious, and the chicken and beef were so tender and good. Didn't enjoy the shrimp as much, nor the pork. Dessert was good, and we got to watch Wishes from our table! I would eat there again.

why would you want noodles that taste like candy? yuck.

NO, they have not gone down hill. They are, and have been for years, one of our favorite 'must do' restaurants. We love, love the food - it is always so yummy and the dessert is the 'best'!

Just wish more of the people that think it is 'ho hum' would quit going there, and save more ressies for people like us! ;) It is always so jam packed, so guess there are many people that still love it like we do.

They are the sweeter asian noodles and very good. We get you don't like 'Ohana. More ADR openings for those that do. :thumbsup2

We are also newbies and ate at Ohana on 10/18. I almost cancelled our ADR due to crummy reviews and I am so glad I didn't. It was super yummy. I don't have a single complaint except that our ADR was for 820 and we weren't seated till almost 845. My husband and 3 boys loved it as well!! We will for sure eat there again!
