Has late night hours been replaced with charged after hour tickets?

I’m going in the summer and hoped to be at the park late avoiding crowds and heat.
My last trip was summer 2014 when we stayed at the park till very late for free (at least till after Midnight if I recall).
Has this been replaced by a ticketed event?

MK and Epcot still have pm EMH once a week.

I foresee that coming. Morning hours as well. Disney is really going with the pay now for what was once free or included.

You'll still get them for free but they aren't what they used to be. Becoming less and less of an option unless you want to pay an up-charge.

Epcot evening EMH is on Tuesday and MK is on Wednesday pretty consistently. EMHs are released along with regular park hours on a rolling basis. They are up to August 23 right now. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/calendars/five-day/2019-08-18/
