Wll the title says it all. I am planning yet another trip to Disney but this time for my sister and I from August 21 to 28. I was looking at airfare and the best I can find out of Syracuse is $366 pp which is way more then what I normally pay for. Any idea if there's already been a seat sale for those dates? I'm hoping no not have missed it.

I booked flights for in july out of buffalo before xmas time and got them for $99 each way per person. I don't know if that was a sale or not it is my first time flying.

hmm sounds liek the seat sale has started a long time ago then. I've always peid around $69-99 each way and the better I can find now is $188. Thanks!

In my experience it's too early. We have gone to WDW many times at the end of August and usually coming home on Labour Day. I generally book around June. Southwest just opened those days today. Jetlbue has had them open for a while now and Airtran has had them open for a very short time. Right now the best price from BUF is with Airtran....$119. Last year we paid $62 each way with AT. So I'll be religiously watching from now on but don't expect to book for a few months.

glad to hear that. I remember last week booking in September for an October trip and it paid $800 for 5 of us. I truly hope the prices will go down just a bit as I will be going twice to DW within 3 months. Once we are driving with the girls and then a girls trip with my sister. I would hate to drive down again

I've been watching Jet Blue flights since November, for the same week as you, as I had credits I wanted to use. Unfortunately, they have been steadily increasing, so much so that it's practically the same as flying out of Toronto. Their schedules are also terrible for this week, flying out of BUF.

I ended up buying my flights today through SW and Airtran at $119 each. Including advance seat selection and luggage fees on Airtran, the total for the 4 of us came out to $1100, which I'm happy with. Plus they are direct flights with times that are appealing to us. :goodvibes I'm just glad that I have flights booked now and I can concentrate on planning the fun parts of the trip. On a side note, I booked these flights at 7:30 am today, when SW released their flights. Right now, that same $119 flight I got is now $154.

Good luck!

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Holy cow....I've never paid more that $750 for 4 people from BUF to MCO....non stop. Last year our total including paying for seat selection and one bag was $620.

The last 3 years the best prices for the end of Aug have been with Airtran.

I'm really starting to wonder if flights have simply gone up. Maybe the days of cheap airfare are done. :confused3 I hope not because that's what makes it affordable for us plus the Disney promotions.

While I agree that at some point the fares are going to go up and stay up. Those days are not here yet. I booked for March break only 3 weeks ago and got my southbound flight for $79 and my return for $109. Both legs are non stop with SW. The only compromise we had to make to get the $79 fare was taking the 2pm flight instead of the 11am. Not really a huge deal...but the savings per person was $40.

BTW....at the same time we were booking there were $69 fares from PIT for the entire 2 weeks around MB.

That's a great price you paid last year! :)

I jumped on the flights with the price I was comfortable with. I would have been so upset if the price only went up. At least, if SW goes down, I can claim a credit.

I've gotten very comfortable paying these low fares. If I was ever faced with paying $1000 I'm pretty sure we would end up driving down. We have driven a few times and the cost is only around $500 r/t. So for me the airfare has to be within a resaonable amount of the cost of the drive.

Truth be told my DH would drive every time.....he loves it. However, he's alone in that one. :lmao:

My dh loves to drive it too because it's cheaper but the girls and I don't agree. Plus he gets the best half of the bargain since I'm the one who does the overnight driving and he does the day time driving. Yes I get to drive less but it can be such a pain to drive at night. We usually leave on the Friday after his doe work at 6pm, I sleep and he drives until 1 am, then I drive until 8-9am while he sleeps. We stop to eat and then he drives almost all day without stopping while I try to sleep and attend to our girls and pass food around
