that they are going to Disney? We leave on the 4th and it doesn't feel like we are going that soon even though I know we are. I mean I am excited. I love going to Disney. I mean that it also doesn't feel like next week is Thanksgiving. When does it hit you that you are in fact going to Disney?

I know what you mean! I get so excited as the days get closer but it doesn't hit me until we are at the airport that I am REALLY ON MY WAY TO DISNEY WORLD!!! Have lots of magical fun and say hello to Mickey from the Prater's, tell him we will see him in a few months!

We're leaving December 5th and it hasn't hit me yet. I think maybe when we get our tickets in the mail. I ordered them, but haven't gotten the tracking number yet, so I know they haven't shipped. I think once I have them in my hands I'll be really excited!

tell me about it!!! we leave on the evening of the 4th and I can't believe how soon it is, yet how far away it seems...I was talking to a lady at curves about it this morning and my heart started racing and I started smiling and I felt like I could just bust!!! but there is way to much to get done between now and then, I guess it will go a whole lot faster after Thanksgiving too...

We leave December 3rd and it is starting to hit me NOW! We've got a busy couple weeks until we go with Thanksgiving, a quick trip to NYC and a surprise party for my dad. I just finished up one of my classes to so I'm starting to do all the last minute Disney details. We also tell the girls about the trip one week from today so I'm very excited about that......

I mean usually I'm like a kid but until I guess were in single digits it won't hit, am I crazy or what I mean I check the boards almost every other day but I haven't gotten the suitcase out yet I better go over my list to make sure I do this right

it "hits me" in stages. We're going for Thanksgiving but we only planned the trip a month ago. It was a last minute, long weekend trip. So, the anticipation is different than our typical 7 night trips (of which we've taken 2 this year). Don't have as much time for the anticipation.

So, I'm down to 9 days. I'm very excited but it hasn't truly "sunk in" - not all the time anyway. It hits me every now and then and I smile a big fat smile. But, about 4 days prior, I start to hit the panic mode. It's kind of weird, it's as I'm almost nervous. Strange, I know. I start stressing over getting everything done in time. Then, the night before it really really hits me. But the real moment of truth is when I drive onto the property and see the sign with Mickey that says "Welcome to the Walt Disney World Resort." I breathe a sigh of relief..

I leave in two days and although I'm starting to feel stressed about getting everything done with practically no hours left to do it except late at night...............I'm feeling the magic start to creep in.

Wow thanks everyone. Talking on these boards is starting to jump start the excitement. We have our hotel ressies, our rental car ressie, our MMVMCP tickets in hand, even our airline Ressies. But maybe it will really hit after Thanksgiving. Well after this weekend I only have to work 1 more weekend and then vacation.

Come on Thanksgiving..oh wait your only a week a way.

You know, I was just experiencing this today. I was putting together my daily $$ envelopes and sorting tickets/stuff. I double checked the date on the back of our second MVMCP tickets (we're going both the 28th & 30th) and it suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks! The tickets said November 30 and TODAY IS NOVEMBER 17th!!! OMG!!! That is like right around the corner! THAT caused a huge pit in my stomach!

I'll see other's countdowns on here, and they'll be MORE than mine, and I'll think, "WOW, they're lucky! They leave in XX days!"... then I think, "Hey, wait a minute! I'm less that that!". It just doesn't seem real.

We need to make it past my FIL's surgery on Monday, then I'll know for sure that we can go... then I'll !

I hope the weekend goes fast...

Hasn't really hit me yet... I logically know I'm going (and I even made PS's FINALLY), and that it is 3 weeks away. But it feels like so much has to happen before then- Mom visiting for Thanksgiving, 85 million pet sitting jobs (trip money, can't say no!), and of course work. I keep thinking that can't all fit into 3 weeks, so my trip must be way off. When it DOES all happen, I'll practically be there already.

I actually just realized that my mom will be here in a week. When she leaves, it'll be only one more week till I see her in Orlando. That's funny....

hey, I lost a day! After posting this, I noticed my countdown says 20. I was SURE it was 21... teens TOMORROW????? Holy cow.

I started to panic a little today when I realized that I had not made ONE LIST yet!!! We leave the day after Thanksgiving. I have everything set with the kids school and I bought movies for the kids to watch in the car ride down but nothing else.
I will admit that I have been occupied with a basement remodel and I think that helped to pass the time. Now, I need to get moving and packing....

It starts to hit me when I make my last hair appointment before vacation. I have an appointment on Sat, and I get my hair done every 5-6 weeks, so the next appointment will be the final one! Woo-hoo.

I suppose that after Christmas it will begin to really hit me. No post holiday blues for me.

It really hits me (this is weird) is when I go and buy milk and the milk expires at our trip time or during our trip, then I know it is getting close.....
