Has it changes that much?

We visited DW in 1994 and it seemed that the food was terrible and tasted exactly the same at every park. Has it really changed that much?

I believe the burgers, chicken strips etc. pretty much all taste alike from park to park. I wouldn't call it terrible food. It is fastfood and luckily consistent (hows that for looking at the glass half full--we could be complaining that the chicken strips were good in MK but when ordered in MGM nothing similar and terrible, you know?!)
Anyway, if you go beyond the fast food and eat someplace like Boma, Ohana, etc, it is very good food. Park food is just that, park food. There are some wonderful meals at WDW. I hope you enjoy them on your next trip!

Well, my first time was in 2002, so I can't tell you in comparison. However, DH and I really like most of the food. The counter service can get repetitive because they mostly have the same things. Yet, each resort seems to have themed options as well that make them different. Most places have basics, but we love their chicken fingers, so the basics are good for us too. The restaurants are all different. They have similar items, but all are cooked differently. Then there are places like Biergarten, Marrakesh, Boma's, Tusker House, Flametree BBQ, etc. that are nothing like any of the other's. I personally enjoy trying all the restaurants as much as the rides sometimes.

usually in the resorts. Counter service in the parks is basically to keep people from starving until they can get real food at one of the many wonderful resort resturants! But just MHO.

We usually eat at the full service places, so counterservice is not a big thing for us. I do think it far outshines counterservice in other themeparks, though!
