Has DVC resorts sold out for xmas?

Hi

I am thinking of extending out trip from 21st December-28th December.

We own AKV. I know that Kidani has not opened yet. Was hoping that there may still be availability within Jambo or at least anywhere else.

I hope so. Really want to stay there now for xmas. x

I would call and get on a waitlist as soon as possible if there is not availability when you call. I had very good luck with one two years ago and ended up with all the days I needed even though it was only 3 or 4 months from when I needed the reservation for New Year's. You might want to waitlist day by day for a better chance to get the days you need but if some are not available you will then be stuck finding other possibilities and having to change resorts. You can also waitlist for all resorts at the seven month point but if you do that you probably should stick to the entire time frame you are looking for. Christmas is truly special although crowded at WDW. Good luck getting your desired dates.

Call now and waitlist. There will be cancellations, Christmas is a long way off. There are people, like me, who have multiple reservations at Christmas and might be cancelling one. Son got a new job and may not be going now.

I managed to get 25th, 26th, 27th December. I am on a wait list for 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. I so hope I get those dates.

I was going to see if VWL on the 7th month window was available for then. I highly doubt it will lol. Fingers crossed I get the extra dates otherwise we wont stay for christmas.

What are the chances of those dates coming available?

I am sure there will be movement at the 7 month mark but it depends how many people are ahead of you on the waitlist. I am told that the likely resorts with space are SSR and OKW due to their sheer size, but you never know and Kidani Village may I say may just be in the opening stages around then

I think you stand a good chance of getting your dates but probably not at VWL. It is one of the smallest resorts and most popular at the Christmas time of year.

I dont know I just said to the lady I wanted to be on a waiting list for those dates. I dont know. I will probably have to ring them then. Will they contact me when they are available? After picking my daughter up from school I will contact them. Ask are they down as individual dates or joined.
