Has Disney Asked For Your Feedback?

Just wondering if Disney has ever asked for your feedback and suggestions after you've returned from a trip? In all my experiences they have NEVER asked for my feedback. (Okay I take that back. I did get an email survey about our recent experience at Magnolia Golf Course. But interestingly enough, they made it clear that they only wanted answers to the questions asked.) But I want to be asked about my overall experiences, like with making reservations, arranging PS, theme park and resort experiences, stuff like that. But they have never asked me. Have they asked you? Do they want to know? Whenever I call my insurance company they ask me to participate in a survey at the end of the call. Same with AOL tech support. They always follow up with a survey. I love it and try to be as honest as possible. I think it's the only way to effect change and I think Disney should be more proactive about asking what's working and what's not. Maybe we can create a survey out of this thread. What are your suggestions for Disney? I'll start with this one, but I've got plenty to add. SUGGEST AWAY!

--Advertise an 800 #! Consumers shouldn't have to call long distance to reach you. (We shouldn't have to get on the DIS boards to find out what your 800# is.)

Yes, I have. They have Research people inside the gates, and at Downtown Disney, etc who ask if they can send you an email survey. They are looking for a random sample of guests. If you are interested, next time you are there, look for the person with the khaki shorts or pants, and short or long sleeve button down white shirt with the word Research embroidered on it and ask them if you may participate. Make yourself look available to them, and if that still doesn't work, approach them.

I've received a survey card after every stay at a Disney resort for the past few months (at least 4x). Not sure if its a conincidence.

Yes, I have. But, can you imagine how SWAMPED with information they would be if they asked EVERYONE who visited? That is why they have Research people inside the gates, and at Downtown Disney, etc who ask if they can send you an email survey. They are looking for a random sample of guests. If you are interested, next time you are there, look for the person with the khaki shorts or pants, and short or long sleeve button down white shirt with the word Research embroidered on it and ask them if you may participate. Usually if you are with a huge amount of other people and everyone looks in a hurry to get where they are going, they aren't going to ask, because 9 times out of 10 they will get the answer no. Make yourself look available to them, and if that still doesn't work, approach them.

I understand they can't ask everyone and I didn't mean to suggest that.
I'm only saying in my five trips they have never asked my opinion post experience or post trip. And they have had plenty of opportunities to do so. How about the numerous occassions on which I've called Disney Travel. Couldn't they pop me out and email during the call? Or couldn't they include a comment card with the receipt they give when I check out of the hotel? Just simple stuff like that. And as far as the research people in the parks, I've seen those people. And now that you mention it I do recall years ago being approached by such a person at DD. But what they asked me had nothing to do with my experience. They wanted to know how many times we'd visited, etc. And if that's the only form of survey they are using with today's technology I think that's lame. They really must not want to know.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback you've added.

I have received surveys twice in three years. One for my overall trip experience and one for MNSSHP. Both were email surveys.

I'm not sure why you are so eager to share your opinions; however, why are you waiting for them to ask you? Why not write a letter and send it off? If you have a gripe about your hotel accommodations, send it to the hotel manager. Maybe you have something nice to say -- I'm sure they would appreciate that too.

I also was going to suggest that. The email address is:

Yes--just received a post card survey about our Grand Floridian stay in December. It was an online survey. Nice to know that Disney wants to hear our thoughts about our visit.

I really think that's kinda funny Len!!! Of all people to get so many surveys it would be you!!! I've actually gotten only two so far, both after stays at POR. And that was awhile back. Curious.

I've gotten post cards after every trip to take a survey, mostly about the resort we stayed at, also have recived e-mails from them. Disney web site has also sent me e-mails to take a survey and my DS got one yesterday from the Disney web site, actualy it was to me asking if i had a child that could take a quick survey. He took the survey and I was reading it, look like they wanted to know how he felt about the new stunt show at MGM and about advertiseing for it and a new game to play on there site, not sure how I get these but will fill them out when sent.

After our first trip, I got an email asking some questions. About 2 months later, I received a check from them for $10 for answering the survey.

Just received a request last night to answer a survey (actually they wanted any boy in the home 8-14 years old to answer) regarding a new stunt show. It was mainly about how to advertise it - gearing it to the boys I quess as the girls have all the princesses.

I got an email yesterday to participate in a marketing survey online. Nothing exciting.

I was actually lucky enough to participate in a round table focus group discussion on one of my trips. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to do it again someday.

I've answered a few on-line surveys but they limit your participation to the questions and areas they are interested in focussing on.

Ironically, I just got an e-mail survery today from Disney on character dining. We were there at the end of Dec/beginning of January, but we were approached by a research CM in Epcot who asked us about our dining experiences and then asked if we would fill out a survey which would come to us online. Now, if they would only send me that elusive code!!

It's not that I'm "so eager" to share my comments. I just find it interesting that they haven't asked. You know, PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE.
We've spent thousands of dollars with them - seems like they would want to know. As I mentioned in the previous post, Aetna and AOL ask all the time. And that's what prompted me to create this thread. I was thinking about the recent survey from AOL and remembered that I have never gotten a survy from Disney. Guess I'm the odd man out seeing as how everyone else HAS gotten a survey.

I have done about 3 surveys in the parks and 5 online surveys. Last summerthey got us on 3 differnt trips. Guess we look like we have something to say. Only only of those surveys did not have a place to add comments. So I guess we did have things to say. :D Every time I get one I am hoping it is a code and it never is.

Did a survey after our November 2004 stay at Fort Wilderness. Would have liked it if there were more open ended questions or more places to explain why I asnwered the way I did.
