Has DCL extended the 2-yr deadline for 10% OBB discount?

I put down a placeholder deposit in Feb 2019, which has been "assigned" to my family's upcoming Alaska cruise in May. This enabled us to upgrade to a verandah room, which will be nice! But, now Covid-19. Our plan is to keep going as long as Disney itself doesn't cancel. But, I know that is still up in the air. I know DCL has changed the cancellation policy so we could use the credit within a year, so my family would probably swap to the first 2021 Alaska cruise (which happens to be 1-day under the 12-month deadline). BUT, that means the 10% placeholder would expire. Has anyone had luck with DCL extending that discount? Or if Disney cancels it themselves, do you think we would get a different discount? (I would try calling DCL but long wait times due to everyone else calling, so thought I'd check here first.)

Was talking to DCL yesterday. We had booked Northern Europe with an on board booking. Yes they would extend it BUT the full fare would go into penalty and would have to be used. NO refunds. We did not want DCL to have 15K of our money that we HAD to use with them or forfeit if not used within a certain time frame. That cost was too great for us. We cancelled so we could keep our money even though we lost the 10 %. We will rebook another cruise at a later date. Hope this helps.

Our deadline for our placeholder was this week. If we don't get on that ship, no placeholder, unless, as you say, they allow extensions. But I doubt they will in our case.
