I have recently been down on Disney property and
noticed that they now sell Dansani bottled water. Is this true also on the cruise? I know in the past they had Zeppryhillis.
Does any body know for sure?

Dasani (which is a product of "Coca Cola"), bought a bottle on the ship last week.

Yep, it's Dansani everywhere now. I preferred Zephyrhills but oh well. :)

Very Cool. I like Dasani much better.

I'm disappointed whenever Dasani or Aquafina is sold, since these are just bottled tap water that has been filtered. Doesn't taste bad, but I really feel like I am getting ripped off.

I am VERY happy for the change. Now, I can take water off my packing list. :)

I have to agree, I prefer the spring water to the "filtered tap bottled water" of Desani and Aquafina. I sure wish they still had the Zepherhills (which is bottled in FL)

It tastes like Florida TAP water........icky to me. I always told DH it tasted that way.......LOL.......then I confirmed it when I read the bottle and saw that it WAS bottled in FLORIDA.....

I think you get used to the taste of the water from the area you are from........

I wish they had Poland Springs Water!!

Seriously, I always thought it was nice that WDW supported a local bottled water supplier such as Zephyrhills... instead of a large, national company. :(

I like Poland Springs also but it is not sold here in FL which is one good reason Disney doesn't have it. I am a former New Yorker and Poland Springs is definitely one of the best tasting "Spring" waters I have ever tasted. I drink a lot of water and prefer the taste of "purified" water over all other spring waters any day.

Interestingly, I loved Poland Spring water when I lived in Massachusetts, and it was a "premium" bottled water. In Illinois, it is considered a budget bottle of water and is regularly on sale. Go figure!

I love Zephyrhills water... too bad. Everyone used to carry it here (Florida Panhandle) and that's all I drank. Suddenly a year or two ago it started getting harder and harder to find. My grocery store finally told me that apparently it is bottled from a lake that had resorts on it, and they were bottling so much of it that the lakefront property almost wasn't. (Lakefront, that is.) The resorts sued and the result was a limit on how much they could bottle. Boo hoo for us Zephyrhills lovers!

PlutoJudi,

My DS was reading this thread over my shoulder last night and told me that very same thing - that Dasani has salt added. Now this would be a bad thing as I no longer drink soda because of the high sodium content but do drink lots of water (I was one of those people who could have half a dozen 20 oz bottles empty on the desk by the end of the day).

Did a little checking today - there IS a tiny bit of salt content in the minerals that are added to Dasani but not enough to even register in the contents.

I drank a lot of Poland Spring when I was working in Massachusetts because that was the ubiquitious brand. I really didn't care for it that much, though, because of the sodium content (they don't add sodium, but it has a certain amount that's naturally occurring). I prefer Evian, but it usually costs about 50% more than the local regional brand.

Of the two national brands (Coca-Cola's Dasani and Pepsico's Aquafina), I prefer the Aquafina because I like the large mouth of their one-liter bottles. Much easier to chug than the narrower mouth of most conventional bottles.

I have to be very thirsty to drink Evian. I really do not like the taste. I guess "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"!

I'm sorry, we didn't like the Zephyrhills water at all. Tasted just like the water out of the tap at WDW, my DD wouldn't drink it. I had to buy distilled at the grocery store and fill our water bottles with it. We will still do that, but it's nice to know that she will drink the available stuff in a pinch. Diana
