Has attendance at USF been affected?

We've booked a shore excursion to USF on December 1st. I've never done Universal Studios without FOTL privileges, but I'm hoping that because of the time of year and given the HP frenzy, US will be experiencing lighter attendance this year. I would have liked to have gone to IOA, but I thought that attendance was probably up (because of HP), and a single day without FOTL would be crazy! Anyone have any insight? If we spend 6 hours standing in lines, DH will kill me.

I think the six hour HP lines ended the first week.
We're going the week of November 6th and hoping for no more than an hour wait for Harry Potter and much less than that for the rest of both parks.

You will be fine at the Studios w/o unlimited Express. Early December is not a busy time in the parks historically. HP has added some crowds but if you go during the week, you should have minimal waits at HP but everything should be less than 20 minutes.
