Has Anything Scary Happened At Your School?

at my old school we went on lockdown at least twice a month...Whenever someone from the prison escaped we were locked down. Once there was a guy with a gun behind the school that day we were on lockdown before first bell even...

Something that happened at the elementary school next to mine was a tragic hit and run. 8 deaths...all of children. It was the bloodiest thing i'd ever seen
The streets were covered in blood weeks later. The outlines were still there until last year...this happened almost 4 years ago...

i count my self lucky. we have never had a bomb threat or a real lockdown but we always practice them any way. we are a very non-varied school. the worst thing about my school is we are very preppy and a bunch of kids do drugs but not me thanks for making me feel lucky about where i live

We had one of the first school shootings at my school back in the 70's sometime. I believe 10 people died? including one of the assistant principles which is what our football field is named after.

In the years I have been there we have had:
-a copier set on fire. three times. We all joke about how the american history teacher was getting high in the teachers office and set it on fire hahaha. He seriously looks high ALL the time :]
-Electrical fires. many.
-Faulty wiring, goes with electrical fires.
-Broken smoke alarms causing fake fire drills.
-like 3 or 4 bomb threats, which caused my school to lock every door up after the late bell rings and force people entering the building to go through this huge glass box you can see into. It cost a lot of money, and honestly won't even work since people can just walk to the back of school and enter through the tennis courts. & most of the times its kids that do stuff like this, and they can just come before school.

My school is just oh so safe lol.

More like AWESOME.

Try going to an 78 year old building for school..and heavy doors open and shut on their own. xD

YEAH.

Gotta love Elementary school!!

i go to a small Christian school with like one big hallway.
and last year we had a tornado warning or watch, whichever ones worse.
and we all had to get in the hallway and just sit there. it wasnt really THAT scary.

thats what my old school was like. and we had the exact same things. One time a kid put an Arbys roast beef sandwhich in the microwave. It was still in the aluminum foil wrap so it caught on fire and we had to evacuate.
Another time I put an oreo in the microwave because I like the middle part melted. Who knew oreos were flammable?!?! :lmao: I smelled like burnt oreo all day.

when i was in 5th grade a teacher had an anurism (sp?) and fell over dead in the middle of the hallway. Thats was awful.

And.... even tho im just a freshamn, i help out at a local college's athletic training program. I'm always there so Im freiends with all the athletes and coaches. And last year one of the football coaches died on campus. he was only in his early 20's and i was really close to him.

it isn't really scary.
it's more sad than anything.
but a kid died at my school freshman year.
i go to a really, really small school so it was a big shock.
but i hate going to the corner of the gym where he died.
it's so sad.

Howd he die?

Ahaha, people reallly don't get that aluminum can't go in the microwave, do they?

I learned that last fall or winter, I decided I wanted to soften the butter we had an it was still in the paper....
well yeah, it caught on fire, but I managed to get it out.
Thank god my parents weren't home, I woulda been yelled at.
But it was a mess to clean up.

Actually, the funny part was that he just stood there and stared at it. Then he just walked away as if nobody knew that it was his sandwich.

I live just outside Toronto, and trust me that is bad news!!

Let's see, in my entire high school career, I think we've have about 20 lockdowns, countless gun threats, the SWAT team at my school once, A kid getting his arm almost chopped off by a machete, a school-wide fight involving the principal getting his nose broken by getting smacked in the face by a skateboard, numerous knife fights, sexual assaults, countless drug searches, i could go on....

Besides having the pipes break and having the heat turn off are the only biggies. Oh, and in pre-k we had to leave the school because of extreme heat and a tornado.

Well when I was in grade 3 we had a real fire with, where the firetrucks came. They thought it was a major fire, because of the amount of smoke but really the popcorn maker caught on fire and semi-exploded. In middle school we had a bomb threat, the police came and they flew in a sniffing dog. We couldnt leave for 4 hours after. They searched our pockets and lockers. Thay were about to do a strip search but then they found 7 dead cartridge things, ( Im not sure exactly what they were) several in the secret pasage in the boys changing room ( yeah, weird school o_O) and a few in the lost in found area. We had a kid put a hat with weird accessories on it, in a microwave that blew up. Last year a kid had an " accident" during lunch hour where a pencil was shoved through his wrist. The amulance came. They thought he might have been stabbed but the kid said it was just an accident that happned when he was running down the hall, and that he stabbed himself by accident. Surprisingly I live in a relatively small town. :confused3

One year we went into a lock down for a LONG time because one of the teachers passed out in the hall after a staff meeting. She died on the way to the hospital. And the sad thing was that she left a husband and two young kids behind. :guilty:

We were also put under a lock-down once and had a pep-rally canceled because some fruit-cakes posted that they were going to bring guns and shoot everyone on a MYSPACE BULLETIN.

Another time this girl was car surfing in the school parking lot, ended up falling off the car, and getting run over by another that didn't see her. A helicopter had to be called in and landed on the football field to take her to the hospital. :sad2:

Then, my junior year, I was literally stalked by a guy. He followed me everywhere, ran his hands through my hair, down the side of my face, and just completely freaked me out. There wasn't a whole lot I could do about it though, because I didn't know who in the world this guy was, never got a good look at him, and the physical description I could give would of fit several of the people that went to my school. I was pretty much stuck playing cling-on with my friends, since he didn't do as much when they were around. :headache:

High School= Major pain.

 howd he die !?

Nothing has ever happend where i went to school before,no bomb threats or anything.

The other day at school a transformer (electric thing) blew up and we thought someone was shooting a gun on our campus!! AHHHH! It was hilarious though because my English teacher made her class get into the closet because that is what the teachers are supposed to do if someone is shooting a gun on campus! XD But I wasn't in her class so I didn't get to go in the closet... :sad2:

There have been a few incidents that were scary at school. A couple years ago right next to my school at 3 am some guy who worked at the 7-11 across the street got shot. Another time was when the stupid 7th graders almost set the locker room on fire because the sprayed the body spray ae on a piece of paper and put it next to the radiator and light a match on it. And other time a girl in gym clas fell down 7 bleachers that are made of wood nails and metal with shaprt points...... she broke her leg and the ambulence came. And finally in kindergarten two kids in my class collided in the playgropu and one of them busted their head open and her was bleeding from the forhead and the other kid got hit in the eye and was bleeding from the.... they were sent to the hospital and got stitches. yea alots happend lol

I guess when I was at a funeral (I was in 4th grade)
Some dumb third grader brought a gun to school
He was showing it off to his friend and his friend took it
He thought it was fake and had no bullets in it and went to the bathroom
He shot the toilet and it flooded everywhere
Then he ran across the playground with gun shooting it everywhere
So they put the school into lock down
Then police were going after him but he was aiming the gun at them
So finally they got hold of his arrested him and the boy who brought it to school
Then took them to jail or something

Then last year
At the high school ( I wasnt there again since I was in middle school)
Some gang wrote a threat in graffiti on the bathroom wall
So then they put the school in lock down
My mom said that her secutary got a recorded announcement since her cell phone was off
So then my mom was freaking out and wanted to get my brother immediately
But they said no one was allowd on campus till they did a search and tried to find out if it was real or not
In the end all was well
But my mom got my brother and took him home early since she was so freaked out

Once they played the Jonas Brothers before class.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We've never had lockdowns or bomb threats or anything. Not that i'm complaining in anyway. We have had the fire, ambulance and police services to our school countless times though.

The school's been closed for a gas leak. That's a scary as it gets. xD
One boy got thrown to the ground and had his head and neck jumped on. We had to get an ambulance for that, I think he was unconscious.
One boy jumped off the balcony. Not sure how long the fall is but it's enough to do some serious damage.
One girl got pushed off a different balcony.
We have several fights per day involving knives or other unpleasant heavy or sharp objects.
Oh and the fire alarm used to be set off so often that when it rang we used to sit in our classes and not bat an eyelid and usually when it rings the fire brigade are alerted immediately and come without being called. Well they changed it so that they had to call the fire brigade before they came. It was technically really dangerous because if there was really a fire and we're all just sat there waiting for someone to scream fire then it could already be too late.
