Has anyone won a dream FP? How did it work?

The reason I ask, is the Birthday FP in 2009. We have questions about it and was wondering if it will be like the Dream FP was this year?

Even if you dont know for sure, what was the Dream FP like this year?

I know it was for one park.

1) was it all day?
2) could it be used during EMH evening?
3) was it good for all FP rides? if not-which ones at each park?
4) good you do the same ride over and over?
5) was it only good for each ride once?

TIA.

We won Dream Fastpasses at Hollywood Studios on Oct. 16th. It is good only once for each ride/attraction that has a fastpass. They are plastic cards that have break-off tabs for each attraction. I would assume they would be good during EMH, but I don't know that for sure.

1. It is for all day.
2. It can be used during EMH.
3. It is good for one ride at each ride in the park that uses fast passes.
4. You can only ride the ride once.( just like a regular fast pass, they take the tab from you when you enter.)
5. See #4!

The promotion in 2009 is not a fast pass promotion, it is a free entrance to the park on your birthday. If you are a season pass holder, you will get a gift card in the amount of one ticket.

Hope that clears it up for you..have fun!!

Actually I know that at least if you have AP's that you have a few options, you can get the gift card, or you may get a special birthday fastpass. I'm not sure if this is the same if you just have normal tickets already bought or if it just for AP holders.

Hmm, this is from the Disney website:

Q: I am a Passholder (or have a valid Multi-Day Ticket or a Seasonal Pass that I will use for admission on my birthday in 2009), so I don't need to take advantage of this offer. If I register, is there anything else I could receive on my birthday?

A: Yes, you have several options which are available for you to select once you arrive at the Park with your confirmation message and your proper ID. You can receive:

A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Walt Disney World® Resort; or
A special birthday FASTPASS® badge+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
A 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.
*Ticket price at gate,

It sounds like any AP or multi-day ticket can get a FP on your B-day, just no details on what it covers yet I guess. Regardless it sounds like its only used on each attraction once. Thanks.

You only get the birthday Fastpass if you are an Annual Pass holder. If you aren't an AP holder then you just get into the park of your choice free and nothing else.

AP holders get a choice of a $75 gift card or a birthday fastpass (it will be just like the Dream Fastpass I assume with the same restrictions)

Actually, I just spoke to a CM about this very thing last week. It is my DH's b-day when we go next year and I asked about it because we are buying multiple day tickets and she told me we have the option of a gift card worth approx. $75 on that day or a special fast pass for himself and 5 others to use on that day.

$75 on top of the $200 gift cards is lots of souvenirs for us.

I had the same question.

I got a package (the 4/3 special) and will be there on my birthday in March. I was told to sign up for the birthday deal, but when I go to the park I would be given the option of the Fastpass (if at the park early enough) or the gift card.

Am I correct in assuming the Fastpass is only good in 1 park?

It is only my cousin & I, so the giftcard will probably be a better deal for us.

"Am I correct in assuming the Fastpass is only good in 1 park?"

Yes, I'd guess if they are anything like the Dreams FP badges, they will have rides specific to the park you enter on them.

My question would be how many people can you take on with you, for example if it's my soon to be 7 yo's birthday, she's not gonna be going in the FP line alone. I guess we'll find out soon after the new year starts.

And to add from above, if you are an AP holder and/or have multiday passes you may take one of the 3 optional gifts available vs free admittance on your birthday.

When I called they told me it was for the birthday guest and 5 others

Well we do have AP's, but it does say otherwise-is that a misprint? You would only save about $1 if you had to by a pass the rest of your days.

We won dream fastpass at the magic kingdom last week! Got them when we were getting off "It's a Small World". The lines were pretty short anyway, but it did help. And a lot of the attractions didn't make us break the bits off so they were good for the rest of the day.

Where did you find that information?

I read on the WDW website what a PP quoted: valid AP or Multi-Day
I also spoke to a CM at IPO who found the same info that I did

If you dont need a pass, you have several options, including the FP.

To the OP:

We're hoping it's like the DFP (won them 3 times at DL, but there they give 2 -- one for each park). I was told this would be only one park and that it may not be for all FP rides at that park, maybe only for a few. I'm waiting for January & hoping someone will post about an actual experience so we know what to expect for our trip!
