Has anyone visited Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia?

I've wanted to check it out for awhile. If you have been, what were your impressions? Do you think my teenage Niece and nephew would be interested?

I think I know what you are talking about. I saw a show on this awhile back, and it was very interesting. It is apparently haunted. I haven't been there myself, but I have been to Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, and that was SO awesome!

I think that your teenage niece and nephew would really enjoy it too!

I saw it on a haunted places show a few years ago and that is what sparked my curiousity. I've been to their website. INteresting that no one under 7 is admitted.

It is not up to building standards and not considered completely safe, you have to sign a waiver to tour. That is why the age limitation.

my 13 year old's travel camp group made a stop there last summer. she said it was interesting.

I haven't been there, but I've always wanted to go. At Halloween, I believe they have special "spooky" tours. I think it would be very interesting.
