On our last trip, my DS3 FREAKED OUT at the Sci-Fi (there was a container of eyeballs in the beams on the ceiling - scared the little guy to death.) So he and I left - didn't want DH and DS6 to miss it. We just did CS at the ABC Commissary while waiting :) ANYWAY, on the last day of our trip we still had those two TS credits that we'd never gotten to use. We were able to get two Mickey waffle breakfasts at the Movies Food Court. I am wondering if this is always the case - if you are down to TS can you use them for CS meals? Now I know that normally that would be a BIG waste of money - but we are thinking about free dining and I am wondering if we'll want to do a huge meal everyday during the intense heat. DH and I tend to have less of an appetite when we're really hot. Or I'm thinking if its just too hot for the kids and we want to head back to the resort a couple of evenings to swim and relax could we just use those credits at the POP food court? I mean, if its free - it doesn't really matter if we "get our moneys worth". I definitely wouldn't consider it during a time when its cooler and we are paying for DDP. What do you think? I've been thinking that they should offer some sort of "basic dining" plan anyway - it could be a teensy bit cheaper - you would get 2 CS & the snack each day, plus maybe one CS would convert to a TS for every three days you stayed - that way people could do an occasional character meal on the "cheaper" plan ... just a thought ... should I pitch it to Disney ??? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway - Has anyone used TS credits for CS ?

From the Dining Plan FAQ:
Can I use TS credits for CS meals?
No. During the last free dining promotion, Disney did extend an offer to use TS credits for CS meals (plus two snacks and a cheap lanyard), but that offer has expired. Prior to that offer, some (but not all) hotel front desks allowed some (but not all) guests to convert some of their remaining TS credits in the CS credits, with the understanding that once converted they cannot be converted back. However, that is not an official part of the Dining Plan, and so you may or may not be successful in getting them to do that for you.

Can I use two (or three) CS credits for a TS meal?
No. There is no way to combine CS credits to "pay for" a TS meal.

Can I exchange CS credits for snacks?
No. However, some eateries which support both CS and snack credits will allow you to use one CS credit for two or three snacks. That's not a standard thing, though, and it isn't necessarily consistent either.
Note that even when folks were able to get Disney to agree to do the exchange TS-for-CS, the exchange took place at the hotel front-desk, not at the CS eatery itself.

I hope that helps.

I agree with Bicker in that whenever I have seen someone do this its always had to be handled with the front desk at a resort. I also think if this situation arrises due to an emergency, such as being ill and unable to make your ADR or in your case having a child freak out due to the environment! And boy, everytime I eat there I always realize my son at any age under 4 would never have been able to eat there. Or at any character meal. He just didn't like things like that back then! In any case, I am glad you were able to get at least some use out of those ts credits!
