How was it and can you have them pick you up early so you can be there at opening???:confused3

It is $18 per person round trip????

I might rent a car, but this would save me from renting the car for over a week...We are cruising on the Dream too and staying on Disney property..I want too use ME for the Disney part and so I am trying too find a way too spend the day at Universal.

This seem like a great option. Just wondering how it works and how late you can get the shuttle back too WDW after the park closes?:goodvibes

There's a pickup at 7:20 and at 8:20. The 7:20 got me there before park opening but had to wait about an hour or so till 9. The 8:20 got me there about 10-15 minutes after park opening. Both times there was no one going to Sea World, so the van didn't stop there. I would imagine that if you were on a van that picked up persons going to Sea World, it would take a little more time to get to Universal.

The shuttles back ran until about 2 AM (they are there late for CityWalk) I caught one back from HHN at 1 AM. You called for a pickup time about 2 hours before you wanted to leave.

Yes, the fare is $18 per person round trip. They do not sell a one-way fare.

I think I am going too do this when we go in May...Save me from renting a car so long....:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips...I would rather get picked up early and have too wait a little bit too get in....:yay:

I would definitely go with the early pick up time, because they will make other stops. For us, they stopped at 2 hotels outside of Disney and also Seaworld. We took the later pickup time and got there about 20 minutes after park opening.

Not always. We used them twice when we were at WDW Oct 9th-17th. Each time an empty van picked us up at CBR and took us straight to Universal. The first time, on the trip back to CBR we did stop at Sea World and POFQ. The second time we stopped at POFQ and CBR on the way back. In the mornings going from CBR to US, we didn't make any other stops either day though.

You can either pay the driver cash when they pick you up, or if you want to use a credit card, you can drop by the Mears desk when you first arrive at MCO and purchase however many vouchers you may need for the week. That is what we did and then just paid the tip in cash each way. The vouchers you get at MCO are perforated into three sections. You give the whole thing to the driver that picks you up and he tears 1/3 of it off, then when you get ready to go back to WDW call the number on your part of the voucher and give them 1-2 hours, then when you get on the van to go back to WDW, hand the driver the voucher and he will tear off another third, leaving you with the receipt stub. The vouchers don't have a date on them and can be used any day--just call Mears the morning before you want to leave. We were offered pickup times of 0620, 0720, and 0820. We chose 0720 both times and was easily there before opening.

We are also plannign on a day trip form Disney to Universal, I was looking a the Mears shuttle also, nut I did a little checking and I belive you can aalos get a taxi, mini-van sized, that will haul all 6 of us over to Universal for the same price is fnot cheaper, so I think that is what we will do.
