Has anyone used the Dining Package?

Last time we visited DIsney (June 03), my husband was shell-shocked by the price of the food. As a result we all nearly starved to death. This time I am purchasing the Dining option so that we do not have to worry about paying for most of our meals once we get there. Is this package worth the money? Are there a lot of dining options with the plan?

Hi and welcome to the Dis. You should head over to the dining board because there are several informative threads about the dining plan and people that had done it and places that participate. One of our fav things to do on vacation is eat and relax and try new things so the dining plan is great for us and now we don't have to worry about the money. It's $35 per adult per day.

Great info. I am glad to hear it is worth it. It looked like a good plan. Psychologically, paying for it up front makes a difference as opposed to paying $50+ for burgers and fries for lunch for 5. Plus, it appears from your report that it truly is a cost savings. I trust we won't starve or have to split a burger this trip.

We used the then "deluxe Magic " plan for our honeymoon, and it was great! We ate at all the best restaurants, (3x a day!!!)and only had a burger or fries when we really wanted it, not because it was cheaper. It was great to pay in advance. We are taking the kids in November, and have decided to do the dining, but not the premium one because I don't think the kids will want to sit down for every meal.
