We're thinking about using Murray Hill on our upcoming trip to Orlando. It's just a quick trip, so we don't need to rent a car. We just need to get from MCO to RPR (a Universal resort).

I did a search for Murray Hill Transportation, and the most recent comments were from 2008. They were positive, but I'd feel more comfortable hearing from someone who has used them recently.

I haven't used them in a couple of years, but I recently talked to John, the owner, on behalf of someone else. He was one of the only towncar companies that was willing to transport their service dog.

I haven't had a need for a towncar company the last couple of year for WDW, since we've been doing Disney cruises and I opted to go with a less expensive company for that.

I will say that my first trip with them one of their contracted drivers was HORRIBLE! I had dealt with John and Marie (his wife) who are both so wonderful. To get to the airport and have this guy was very upsetting. When I got home I sent an email to John about the situation (never expecting any compensation) and John was so wonderful and refunded my money (I didn't request that) and gave me a free round trip the next time I was down. He wound up firing the guy (I guess others had registered complaints too), and since then I mostly had John as my driver, but occasionally had someone else and they were wonderful too! I definitely wouldn't hesitate using him because I know from experience that he truly is wonderful and if something is wrong that he will bend over backwards to try and correct it.

Well, not super recent, but I used them in Aug. 2010 for transportation from MCO to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal and they were great. I am sorry; I do not remember the driver's name.

This is what I wrote in March of this year: "We've used them twice and they were great! They give you a free grocery stop and don't make you feel rushed. The year before last we had an emergency at home & needed to leave early; they had someone at our hotel within 20 minutes. Last year our plane landed 15 minutes early and the driver called to apologize that he was running late; he showed up before our luggage did. They're the only company we'll ever use when not renting a car."

We're going again next month & I've already booked with them.

I don't think they have the option of refusing to transport a service dog.

I think that they're *supposed* to, but ultimately several that this person called said that they didn't do that because of things like their next passenger could be allergic to dogs, etc. She quoted them the ADA laws and they still refused. I'm sure she could have pursued something with the ADA, but her trip was coming up in the following week or so after the call, so I called John since I know him and spoke to him. He had no issue with it, and was particularly helpful and understanding since his son uses a service dog.

I don't know if you could consider this past May as recently.

We have used them 7 times in the last 5 years - we were referred by friends who use them twice a year also.

We have NEVER had any problems at all. Our friends have no problems.

Always on time - always friendly.

I hope that helps!

I have never used them, but after reading this thread, doing a search and looking at their prices I will be using them for our December trip! So thanks, Wildflower! :)

I just have to chime in because I used them during our trip in 2004 (I know its not recent) but they were so good I used them from then on. There was a hurricane and we got stuck (2 days) longer than we had planned because the flights were grounded. We used them to get from Sanford to Royal Pacific, then 2 days later from RP to ASM. I've got to say that Disney was also great during that time, they let us stay in the same rooms at the same rate (we had gotten a 35% discount rate) so we were very pleased. MH called us to check on us to make sure we were OK and that they would keep our reservation intact until we could get out and even offered some suggestions on places to stay if we couldn't stay at WDW. I was a little afraid that we had lost the reservation since its really not their fault that we couldn't get out but they called us each day to find out whether we needed them to take us to the airport (we were leaving out of Sanford) and the reason I was concerned was because we had prepaid so they really didn't have to show up. Anyway they showed us a very caring and efficient way of doing business and we would not hesitate to ever suggest any other car service. HTH
