has anyone used ME w/o Tags???

I am leaving on Nov. 28th and still don't have my tags, I spoke to the people at Magical Express and they were supposed to be rushed. That was last week. I put in another phone call today, and the lady I spoke to said if they don't come by Wednesday to call back and there is a Plan B, they will give me instructions what to do. I don't know, this doesn't sound good to me, but I'll let you know. She said don't worry your bags will still be taken care of even if you don't have the tags.................uhhhhhhhhh I don't have a good feeling about this. Is there anyone else who had this situation?

When I first called they said they didn't have my address in their system that's why we didn't get our tags. But Disney had all our info.....so what they don't send them if they don't have the info?? Seems to me they should try to get the information......I'm so frustrated. Seems when ever we go anywhere there is always something............I just can't wait to be away from the hussle and bussle, and be in Disney!!!!

Does anybody have any info on this?? Help me please.

Back in June, I was prepared to use DME without the special tags. It was 5 days before we were to leave, and no tags to be seen. So, this is what I did. I made my own type of ME tags...used yellow construction paper, cut them into 8" strips, with our resort info on them, date of arrival, our last name...same as the regular tags have. Then I put some of the clear Contac paper on them to sorta laminate 'em. Then tied them on to the handles of each bag. I also got some very distinctive wide ribbon....Winnie the Pooh on a turquoise background, added some lime green grosgrain ribbon as an edge and tied one on each piece of luggage. Then, I took a photo of them, so that I could give them to the DME rep when they asked me what my stuff looked like. Of course, after doing all that....the darn things arrived that afternoon!!!!

When we went in OCT. another group arrived when we did with NO ME Tags .ME just took their airline luggage tags and did a manuel pull .They told them that thats fine go get on the bus and your bags will be right behind you. i talked to the Man the next day and he said they were right the bags all of them were there when they got back from the park that night.

Thanks both of you for your replies, it brings me some relief. As far as your homemade tags, that was very clever, (can you send some to me!!! lol)(just kidding)

Could you send some good vibes that I get them on time....if not I guess I'll just have to hope it goes as smooth as it did for the other man with the manual pull.

They do manual pulls all the time with no problems.

Be careful with the HOMEMADE ones they might get pulled but they don't have the BARCODES on them so if the Puller is not watching they could get lost in ME limbo. Just let them do th Manual pull.

The 'homemade' yellow tags aren't really meant to replace the official tags. Just to catch the eye. I had my photo all ready to give to the luggage people along with my luggage claim receipts.

I received my tags today!!!! I'm leaving on Monday and I received them today!!! That's cutting it really close!!! But now I have one less thing to worry about!!! They came Fedex.
