Ok, I have not heard back from Father Day about my date, Father Kevin is taken but Father Tim Herring is available. His email to me was really short, only one sentence and that kind of bothered me, but he did give me a lot of information in attachments. Has anyone worked with him or heard of him? I hate to let him get by and not have anyone!

My parents used him for their Vow Renewal. He was very nice and it was a beautiful ceremony. He is just a kinda to the point person. He is used in alot of the Disney Wedding shows on Tv. Hope this helps.

reverend tim herring performed our ceremony & rehearsal in march and did a great job. he was short in email but very nice & personable in person, he made everyone very comfortable. we wrote our own personalized ceremony & vows and reverend tim did everything to a t we wanted. we originially had rev jack day booked but he cancelled last minute for a family wedding but in the end we got the better deal reverend tim was great.

You may want to try doing a search for Rev Tim Herring in this forum. When I was doing research, I found that to be very useful, because there have been a few topics containing the officiants. Good Luck!!

I did a search for him but found so much of it to be hit or miss. I wanted to ask some of the girls on here now that had helped me since I "know" them! HAHA

He did ours in 93, very funny and sweet, runs a homeless charity in Orlando.

But I found out our marriage was not valid in the Catholic Church, and when I'd asked Rev. Herring about it, he had said he married Catholic people all the time and it was fine. Guess it was fine in his church but not in the Roman Catholic Church.

So, I didn't get in trouble for the divorce, but according to the Church, my daughter is illegitimate. Sucks.

Reverend Tim Herring is performing our ceremony at Leu Gardens on February 21, 2007. I was referred to him by Leu Gardens personally. I contacted him though a phone call, and he was so personable and friendly. He was actually at a groomsmen party when I called, but took the time out to answer some questions. He jotted down all my info, then emailed me with tons of info about the ceremony and vendors. We live in Chicago and haven't met him, but if you do the research, he performs numerous wedding EACH WEEK! His wedding are actually featured on Lifetime and TLC. How cool! I have emailed him twice and he responded back the very next day.

Happy Wedding Planning!::love:

My sister was married at Leu Gardens by Rev. Tim. He did a great job. We are also using him for our ceremony in August.

If I had to do it over I wouldn't go with him. He and I just had different personalities, and that might not be the case for everyone. -- We asked for a sample of the ceremony several weeks out, we had to ask every day, he wouldn't send it. It irritated me, because I felt it was really important to know what we'd be saying in the ceremony, but I'm a control freak. His attitude was very much "I've done this a million times, don't worry your pretty little head, no bride has *ever* complained about my work. People try to write their own vows and their own ceremony and it always turns out terrible. Just leave it to me." That just didn't go over very well with me, especially since when we booked him, it was because he said he would work *with us* to create a ceremony that fit us.. which never happened.

The day of the rehearsal, it was more of the same.. We were discussing where everyone would stand, and I asked him to stand somewhere different than he usually does.. We had been to a friend's wedding a few months before and I wanted the same setup they had. He argued with me, and repeatedly tried to tell me that "I really didn't want that" and I would regret it later. Everyone started laughing, bacause that had been the running theme of our whole wedding "You really don't want to do that" and anyone who knows me, knows that I am one of the most intentional people you will ever meet, I take full responsibility for my decisions and I rarely have regrets (and if I do regret it later it's my problem not yours..)

When he was going over what he would say, he mentioned some readings.. we asked if we could see them or if he could email them to us, and he said no. We asked him to recite them and he said it was a little of this and a little of that.. which concerned us, because we specifically told him we wanted a completely secular ceremony.

In the end we had a secular ceremony and it was fine.. Personally, I didn't like the ceremony at all, the words didn't feel meaningful, but I can live with it, it won't irritate me forever, and I'm sure I'm the only one bothered by it. Like I said, I'm type A and picky! Your experience, needs and expectations may vary!
