Has anyone used DVC points to stay at the Grand Canyon?

We are thinking about venturing away from WDW next year and going to the Grand Canyon.

It would be nice to use our points for our hotel. Anyone do this before? How was it?

Park lodging is run by Xanterra and is really pretty nice. You just need to contact them before it's too late. I wouldn't use points for Grand Canyon because you won't really be at the Grand Canyon and will need transportation to the park.

If you want to go to the Grand Canyon, I agree...call ASAP. They book ahead 1 year from the month of your visit. IF you have a choice, go to the North Rim, it's relatively quiet compared to the South Rim. We've done them both, over 2 different Memorial day weekends.

For cash, and the cancellation policy is good, in a reasonable time line. Book if you think you'll be going.

The North rim is the quietest and IMO the prettiest however we have discovered sometimes inaccessible before April due to snow.
