My dr. wants to switch me from Atenolol to Bystolic for my tachycardia issues. I'm always nervous when it comes to changing my heart medicine so I was hoping someone had some experience with this other one, Bystolic. Any strange side effects? Thanks!:goodvibes

I take Bystolic (5mg) for my HBP ... (I used to take Atenolol until it seemed to stop controlling my HBP anymore and my dr. switched me to Bystolic) ... I, personally, did not experience any side effects from the Bystolic ...

Thank you. I'm just annoyed because the only reason my dr. wants to switch me is that he's concerned the Atenolol is suppressing my HDL cholesterol. But won't the Bystolic do the same thing? They're both beta blockers. I don't use it for high blood pressure, it's to keep my heart from racing. Anyhow, thanks for your reply!:goodvibes
