We have just booked to fly to Orlando via Miami with AA, I know they altered the seating on their aircraft in December so you get slightly less room although I believe it is still 33" so better than BA, but has anyone flown with them recently to Miami or even on to orlando, if you have what are the flights like, seats?, meals?,entertainment?, check-in? etc?
Thankyou for your help :Pinkbounc

Flew back with them from Miami after being bumped by Virgin (got free flights for next trip - always volunteer if this is ever offered!). I was quite impressed and would fly with them again without hesitation. I can't say I recall the seat pitch being much different to Virgin/BA (maybe an inch but it was not really significant) but service was very good and very professsional. Can't really judge food as only breakfast was served and that was fine. You had to pay for alcoholic beverages if you wanted them. Check in lady was a bit of a "jobsworth" - one of the suitcases was a little over weight so she made us repack and move some items into one of the others. Virgin never seem to bother as long as the total weight is under the limit. Don't know if that was company policy or just one person though. I'm afraid I can't remember much about entertainment - I think I slept most of the flight.

Haven't flown with AA to Florida but flew with them to Chicago and then onto Detroit a couple of years ago and have to say that the whole family put them at the top of our list of airlines to fly with (prices willing!) Seats were comfortable, seat back TV's and entertainment was good, the hostesses were very professional and attentive and even the food was edible.

We have flown with AA several times, usually to San Francisco, and we have never had any type of problem with them. I always try to book our flights with them!
