Has anyone used a snack credit for candy at Epcot countries?

I know that you can use a snack credit for the Disney brand candy from Goofys Candy Co and similar such items, but what about the candy that is sold in the different country stores around Epcot? I know that Mexico, Norway, Germany (to name a few) all have interesting candy from their countries. Am I allowed to use my snack credit for those items?

I know we tried in Japan and snack credits were not accepted..

I bought some Toblerone from a gift shop in world showcase, though I can’t remember which one, and we used a snack credit.

I used snack credits to buy a few bags of Wherthers caramels in Germany. My girls love those things and I wanted to bring them some as part of their presents.

In Norway I think it was any candy under $5 could be a snack credit.
