Has anyone used a bike trailer as a stroller at Disney?

So we are leaving for our first Disney trip with children in about 2 months. Our son is 5 and Daughter will be 3 and our original plan was to take out BOB jogging stroller mostly for DD, but switch if they needed to. We were also going to bring an umbrella stroller and an Ergo carrier (they are both small for their age and still fit.) Well DH has recently gotten into bicycling and got a nice Burley trailer for the bike that both kids fit into well and he suggested that we might thing about taking it instead. We don't have to worry too much about space since we are camping at Ft. Wilderness, but I think bringing both would be overkill. Some of the Pros for the BOB is that it folds up smaller and it reclines. The Burley trailer doesn't fold up very well, but can fit both kids and has more storage space. We are planning on going back to the camper for naps each day so they don't have to sleep in whatever we bring. Any other things I might be forgetting? Do you guys have any ideas or opinions?
Thank you!

Are you going to be going to the parks by car, or are you going to use Disney transportation? If it's the latter, you must have something that truly folds up. The easier, the better.

Even if you are driving to the parks, know that if you use the parking lot tram, you are most likely going to need to fold it up for that, too.

Also check the siZe. Disney has limits on the size of strollers. I personally wouldn't take a fixed wheel stroller. The are not as maneuverable and the wheel usually sticks out and can be a tripping hazard

Wide strollers are difficult to navigate in crowds. I've seen a few frustrated parents with big bike-trailer style strollers who were simply stuck in the crowd and couldn't get through (around Easter 2013). I'm not sure how busy it will be during your visit, but I would recommend squishing the kids a bit to have something easy to navigate through crowds.

Epcot main pathways are generous, you should be fine there, unless you're trying to exit immediately after Illuminations. Animal Kingdom has been fine whenever I've visited. But Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios have crowded spots at path intersections all day. Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios is crazy crowded all the time.

Taking the boat to the Magic Kingdom, there are spots for a couple wheelchairs or non-folding strollers on each boat. Wheelchairs get priority over strollers, as they should. If your stroller folds, you are much more likely to fit on the boat.

For the other parks, it would be faster for you to drive. But if you do decide to use Disney buses, you will have to use a stroller that folds. Non-folding strollers are not allowed on the buses.

I have a Bob revolution and a Burley bike/ stroller. I love them they are so handy, great for an active family...... But NOT for disney. For disney I bought a Volo. Seriously the best thing I ever did. And we totally call it the Disney stroller. Because we use the other ones for everything else. (The Bob in particular - I love it.) But just not for disney. Too large and we often end up using stroller parking in the parks at some point and I would be devastated if someone stole my big strollers!!!

I think the bike trailer will be a complete pain, just so big and bulky. And like others have said, it won't work well on the buses. Do the seats recline at all? For me, half the point of the stroller is for them to easily sleep if they want.

For those ages I think you would probably be okay w/ the BOB & ergo during the day, maybe taking the umbrella w/ you, too, at night.

We are big ergo fans and last summer in London my then almost 5 year old was in it several times - not for long distances, but enough to get to the front of the park, etc.

I'd stay away from using the bike trailer. While great on trails, they are a four star pain in the shorts on crowded areas. They are tough to maneuver and the bar in front is going to bite someone's ankles.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine at WDW. These strollers are just so massive.

Strollers must be smaller than 36" x 52" Most doubles would meet that but I think some bike trailers might be wider

Or someone will trip over it. It sticks out too far to be safe when walking in crowds.

That front bar looks like a nasty accident waiting to happen.

Maybe I don't understand, but how do you 'push' a bike trailer when they are 'tow behinds' for bicycle? :confused3

Can't see any way they could possibly be used as a stroller - maybe someone could enlighten me???? Also, they're huge!

Thanks all for your opinions, it does have the stroller attachment that sticks out. I didn't realize how much wider it was than a normal stroller, but after we put it together inside we had a hard time getting it through the doorway to the garage so I think we will go with our original plan of the Ergo and BOB. Thanks GrtWtNorth for confirming what I saw in the unofficial Guide and I think we will drive to most of the parks.
