I need a rental car for a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina. Rates are a bit high. I have AAA, BJ’s and Costco. I’ve also checked all air, ines and Priceline and am getting quotes from $384-450 for 4 days.

Kayak has a car through a major rental company for $202. It notes something like “a special arrangement with Priceline”.
im concerned there may be some hidden fee. any thoughts?

I've only rented once thru a Kayak link but I didn't have an issue. If you search for the same car directly on Pricelines website is it the same? I would check and cut out Kayak if possible. Also have you tried Auto Slash?

Most people are having success booking free-cancelation reservations then cancelling and rebooking when the rates drop.

Priceline was over $100 more. I’ll look at Auto Slash. I’ve never heard of them

www.autoslash.com They search all of the publicly available discount codes and most of the membership related ones like Costco, AAA and AARP. Then once booked you can have them keep an eye on the reservation and let you know if it goes down. They have saved me over $1500 in the last couple years.
