Am planning Dining plan meals, trying to find fun counter service food, saw conflake French toast on the Wolfgang Puck express menu, don't remember seeing anything on the boards, anyone tried it???

Also saw ginger creme brulee on the noodle station menu? Anyone?

Food is a big part of our Disney experience, so plan to give you lots of food reviews :)

many thanks,

Seriously, in our vast and unpaid research department no one out there has tried this? Seen it? Seen someone else eating it? Thought they saw it on a tray? My guess it's no Tonga toast, but really, Wolfgang! Help?

Yes, I had it awhile ago. If I recall correctly, I liked it. It was sweet, but not as sickening sweet as Tonga Toast. (I think I am the only person on the DIS that doesn't like Tonga Toast!)

I can't believe it, a fellow Tonga Toast disliker. You are absolutely NOT the only one. I guess there's so many people the RAVE about it, I'm too "scared" :guilty: to speak up!!! :goodvibes It is WAY too sweet!!! There, I've said it, I'm "out of the closet"!!! :earboy2:

Is this Cornflake French Toast a breakfast thing or dessert??? We are looking for some interesting breakfasts to try for our next trip.

It was a breakfast item. I remember liking it, but thinking it was still sweet. However, it must have not made that much of an impression, because it's not on my must have list! ;)

P.S. I remember feeling really cheated when I ordered the Tonga Toast. Beacause 2 bites later, I was done my breakfast. I kept staring at DH's pancakes and thinking, "How could the DIS be so wrong?" :rotfl2:

I knew my DISers wouldn't let me down! DH is a breakfast person, so thought a morning boat from POR would be fun! Will let you know if we try it!
Sounds good especially if it's not super sweet! :wave2:

MANY THANKS!!!

I had the cornflake crusted french toast at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas about 6 years ago. I still remember having it and how good it was 6 years later! I'm sure it's the same at Downtown Disney. I hope you enjoy it!

I had the ginger creme brulee before - don't expect creme brulee, it's really a custard, not creme brulee. It was decent - we basically think it's what you should expect out of a $2 counter service custard.

I hate Tonga Toast as well :crazy2: Way too sweet.
