Has anyone tried these Captains?

My DH and I are taking a short notice trip to WDW in Sept. We have eaten all over the 'world' and would like to try some different ones. The two we haven't tried so far are YC Captain's Grille and DTD Captain Jack's.

I was wondering if there are any reviews of these two? What is your opinions of them. We love seafood and can't really get good seafood in Minnesota. So would like any info on these places.

We had NYE dinner at Captain's Grill in YC last year. We toured DHS during the morning then went to epcot and left at 9:00pm for dinner at YC. Meal was very good, and service was excellent. Especially on that night..we were not rushed at all. Menu is on allearsnet.com if you want to check it out. We may do the same thing this year..after our late meal we went to BW for some of the NYE activities then watched fireworks from YC/BC area and had easy exit to OKW before the craziness of the park exits.

I really do not like to post anything negative but Capt Jacks was proably one of the worst meals of my life, and the service stunk too!!! Hopefuly they have gotten better since last Dec...

It has been awhile since have eaten at Capt' Jack's. But we did not have any complaints.
I also have always had good food and service at Captain's Grille also.
Just due to location I would go to CG, rather than CJ.

We love the Captain's Grille...a hidden gem, for sure. Solid menu, quick and pleasant service and a bit off-the-beaten-path for a bit of relaxation.

Can't help ya w/Cap'n Jacks.

If you are up for sea food, why not go Flying Fish?

Captain Jacks was absolutely awful. The meal was disgusting and the service made me feel miserable the entire meal.

Captain's Grille was awesome ,good food and good waiter.Captain Jsck's total opposite, okay food not our favourite,the waitress was terrible!

We went to Captain's Grill in june for lunch, it was delicious. Service was fabulous and food was tasty. I had crab cakes for apptz and lobster roll for main entree. It was our first time there, and I thought it was a wonderful place. Will try it again.

We've been to capt jks 2x. the first time the food was good, service was terrible. The waiter was down right snobby!!

We went again because we did enjoy the food. The second time, the food was terrible & I've never said this about a disney rest, but meager in size
Not to mention, I couldnt believe it, but the service was even wrose than the first time. We won't go back.

I knew you guys would not steer me wrong. I will take Captain Jack's off my list and Captain's Grille will stay on.

So far besides Captain' Grille we will be dining at Kona, Shutter's, And Rose and Crown. Just one more to decide for the first nite. So much fun to do all this planning.

Had breakfast at Capts Grille twice, not impressed

Had dinner there once and it was the best pork chop I ever had, excellent salads and the cheese rolls were great
